I’m 6’4”, so I don’t need steps for my truck. I had a pair on my older F-150, and kept thinking about taking them off, because they were too obtrusive. Stuck out far enough that my leg was at a weird angle to avoid them, and but truck wasn’t really high enough to need them.
That said, I wanted...
Sometimes I think my doors sound tinny, but most times I don't think about it at all. I actually even like the tinny "plink" of raindrops on the roof, because it reminds me of riding in my dad's F-100 as a kid. And that's what it is: it's a truck, not a luxury car, and I think it's comparable...
It's not just chips, it's everything to include even the seat foam and sheet metal.

Shutdowns last year weren't equal across the board. Some places started before others, some lasted longer than others, etc. It all...
People laugh, but with the a decent amount of prep work, some mineral spirits to thin the paint down, and some wet sanding between coats, a roller job can look halfway decent.

I actually did this method on a 1970 Mustang In my younger, poorer days...
Got my Shrockworks sliders bolted onto the frame. Easy install, pinchweld clearance looks good. Only annoyances are that they’re no longer packaged as nicely as they used to be, and the backing plates were raw steel that I had to coat myself. Otherwise, I’m happy with them. My 2-year old can now...
I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone complain about the engine in a Pinto, unless for the standard SMOG controls of the era. Usually it’s always about the fuel tank.
They don’t even talk about the company politics. I think I remember reading something some time ago about Ford could fix the...
Alright, I had a nice custom bed divider but then I bought the Builtright bed panels, and there’s lots of reasons as to why they don’t work together. But bed dividers are still useful, especially with a bed cover. So, what to do?
Well, I designed another one!
This is a 3 piece design that...
Oh I never wire anything directly to my switches. I’ve always believed a switch should never be anything more than a signal wire to a relay. Even if the amp draw is low enough that the switch could handle the current, a relay just adds an extra layer of safety without much extra cost.
Added the Lightforce facia that came in the mail today! Not sure if it’s aligned correctly or if there’s a difference between the Aussie Rangers and the US spec ones (I was dumb and bought from the Aussie store and received one for the PX mode.) There were definitely extra mounting tabs that...
They’re out there. Definitely not as common as any other truck, but I see maybe 1-2 each day. Not all have been privately owned either. Saw one as a fleet truck for an irrigation service, and another with government plates and a Forestry Dept logo on the door. So yeah, they’re out there.
This arrived (finally, a month later) all the way from Australia, because I was an idiot and didn’t realize I wasn’t shopping the US storefront.
Now, what to put in the other two spots? I’m thinking custom dual switches, for individual control of future ditch lights and winch in/out, for a...
Yeah, cars back then may not have handled well, but just look how smooth the ride was on the F-Series. And people complain about the floating feel of our Rangers!
What’s the recommendation for the magnetic colored 3D letters, now that Eyecatchers no longer sells them? I’d rather have something that matches my magnetic trim, than the black option most other vendors sell.
A short bed has its advantages, but there’s a lot of small issues to overcome. Luckily, since the bed sides are so tall, there’s ample room to store things there. Now, I’m not a prepper, but it’s good to have some things readily available. Spare fuel, water, trauma kit, and a few other things...
Yeah… thanks to you lot, my list of little things to buy keeps growing.
That’s what I’d spend my grand on. All of the small miscellaneous stuff that I’d like to have, but is too expensive to spend my hard earned cash on. Like Staun tire deflators. $100 on Amazon o_O
Yes, but you’re not the only person reading this thread. ;) Just because I’m quoting you, doesn’t mean I’m posting for you. I cut out the rest of the quote specifically so I could clarify things for everyone else who reads this, since there have been others who think I’m asking for help on how...
It is though. If you had a spare $1000, what would you do with it? What other info do you need? This is all about you. If this was about me, I’d have titled the thread “help me spend $1000”.
We have all of those “What did you do“ or “What did you get in the mail” threads. This is kinda like...
Good question. I have Fox 2.0 on just the rears and that made a world of difference. Curious if it’s worth spending the money on the front end setup too.
I don’t mind the stock rake, and if I go with the 2” lift that the front Fox 2.0 setup has by default, I’m pretty sure I’ll think the stock...
