BAK Revolver X4S. It’s expensive if you pay asking price, but a lot of BAK covers are discounted by vendors. Had mine OTD for $900. Installed in a little more than an hour, but that was only because I didn’t see a second parts bag with Ranger specific parts until after I installed the side...
If I lived closer, I would've been interested, but consumer shipping to Nevada would've been outrageous for something of that size.
I had one on my old F-150, and just paid nearly double for a new X4S from a vendor for the Ranger. For anyone on the fence, the Revolvers are great covers...
Mine’s the Builtright version of the tray, and I wasn’t lucky enough to have a coupon for mine, so paid full price. Oh well.
This was one of the first things I bought for my truck, to use as a place to mount the control head for my ham radio. Overall, it’s great! Was a little hard to bolt...
That was my thought exactly. And to think the instructions tell you to put it on the fuse panel access spot. Not only can I not see it there, but I’d have to move my knee to reach it. When your trailer starts to get away from you and you need to engage those brakes, you need the controller in an...
You should already have one. There’s a flat key inside your key fob, for you to use if the battery in either your car or your key fob dies. Just push the button and it slides out.
If you want a spare flat key, you can get the blank for about $11 online and have someone cut it from yours...
Hope the install went smooth. Did mine not too long ago. Was a little annoying to get to the plug for the brake light, but overall I’d say 3.5/10 difficulty. Where’d you install your control knob? I put mine next to the shifter, beneath the TM knob.
Saw someone mounted a Viair 88p under the hood of their Taco... Anyone consider doing the same in a Ranger? Poor man's Taco OBA
His still has the switch and everything in the engine bay, but it looks like you can take the handle, gauge, and switch off, to make the compressor even smaller, and...
Thanks all. Like Dhass68 shared earlier, I posted some details about the bed divider here:

I had Ford's stowable bed extender in my F-150 years ago, but since they don't make anything like that...
I had a similar one on my F-150 years back, either the Roll-X or the X2, whichever Bak was selling in 2012 or so. Loved it then, and the only issue I ever had with it was how hot the aluminum got in the south Texas summer. If you weren’t paying attention and touched anything other than those...
Meh, that’s nothing. The registration renewal for my wife’s Explorer was $834 here.
On the bright side, it’s always a good day when you come home from work and see a large box waiting for you in the garage! Bak Revolver X4S. I didn’t even know it had shipped yet, and here it is...
Having spent nearly two decades in government and aviation-based enterprises (you know, things that are highly regulated and covered in legal semantics) to me, there's no interpretation. Specific words mean specific things. Taken directly from the FAA's "Plain Language Toolkit":
Must =...
Add me to the list!
Wife's Explorer has the auto-fold mirrors, and I'd gotten used to using them as a way to tell whether it's locked or not. With the Ranger, I constantly see my mirrors sticking out (because I forget about that little button that's hidden by the steering wheel) and keep...
Yeah, I’d like it to be easier to remove, something where you don’t need to break out your toolkit first. I did think about an open top design, but didn’t want to worry about the bars popping out on rough roads, off-road, or speed bumps. This just the Minimum Viable Product, something quick to...
Talk to me in June or July. Parts feel solid, but want to get some miles on them, take them through a car wash, and expose them to the Las Vegas summer before I offer anything to the masses. Especially for money. Would hate to sell something that only looks good and isn’t really functional...
I just finished installing my DIY bed divider.
“Why do you need a bed divider? It’s only a 5’ long bed.” Yes, I know. But my arms aren’t that long, so I can’t reach things that slide to the front, and I almost have the wife willing to let me spend the money for the Bak Revolver cover, so I’ll...
I’ve got a Jayco 174BH. Haven’t towed it with the Ranger yet, only hooked it up to see if I needed to adjust the hitch from how it’s configured for the Explorer I typically tow with. Seems like the receivers are within an inch or two of each other, so should be fine. Trailer looks level enough...
Hi all! Another newbie here.
Been stalking the site for a couple of weeks now, but I wish I had seen all of the comments about the missing tie downs before I negotiated with the dealer for my new 2020 Lariat FX4. Considering it had been on their lot for 70-something days, and was a previous...
