No, I have had Anzo in the past and the quality wasn't the best. I ended up taking them out and putting my stock headlights back in so I could actually see at night. It's the most polite way I can and will put it.
I have the options I wanted just not the color. I'm not going to lay money down and wait upwards of a year for a specific color and have my model year changed since I purchased in late September. Ford watered down the STX Special Edition for 2022. So again take what could get or be more...
Essentially similar to what you said, though they told us, customer is wanting to buy "now" and it's easier to get them something on the lot rather than take the risk of order and customer walking away. Low inventory forces changes to be made as now it is order order and order. A large dealer...
I've heard from enough people to never use CARiD and or Rockauto. You either never get the parts and particularly in the case of Rockauto, you get the wrong part and Rockauto will not pay for return shipping.
Dealers try to refrain from ordering for the reason that the customer can and will most likely still look around for A what they want rather than wait 3 or more months, and B the better deal. Some people have patience others won't stop looking.
Yes and no, the last thing you want to do as a salesman is order a vehicle for the customer. You sell sell sell what is on the lot first before going the route of ordering. If anything a good dealer will do a dealer trade to get what you want before ordering.
I'm interested in seeing if anybody here has done an East Coast Bullbars from Australia, bullbar for the Ranger. If I wasn't so nuts over seeing how far I can push fuel economy I'd give it a try. Would add flavor to my Raptor Theme and add a little Jurassic Park in for flavor.
Our next Ranger will be a Raptor, my Daughter wants a Raptor to ride in and my Wife likes the new style. So now it's paying off mine enough to not trade in and have two trucks.
Salespeople are becoming extinct. When I worked for Bridgestone Retail Operations under their "Tires Plus" Brand. I was laughed at for pointing out that we were not needed. This was right before McDonald's started using order kiosks in their stores. I said that we could get replaced by a kiosk...
Supply and demand, which the market favors the dealer over the customer as of right now and they know it. Even the used market is in the dealers favor. Reminds of the old phrase "The House always wins."
You should see how many heads get scratched by old timer mechanics when I tell them that you have to manually adjust the valves on old VW air cooled boxers. It wasn't until 93' when VW of Mexico made a fuel injected set up with automatic self adjusting valves for the Type 1 "Beetle" . The...
Buying my Ranger was a circus and traveling farther out than what I wanted since there is a large selection of Ford Dealerships in this city and surrounding area. Well I went to one which on internet says they have several in stock, only to see no real new vehicles on the lot except a few new...
I just used a 1x4 as a prop for the back hatch on my Shagin' Wagon till I finally bought a new set of struts. I knew of one tech who just took the whole hood off to do the job and didn't really put much effort into making sure it was aligned when he put it back on. Customers are cheap, I worked...
Never said anything about selling to the customer tools designed for mechanics to use themselves. If the customer is too cheap to get a set of struts or a new prop rod well their problem not ours. Oil changes have to get done.
Yeah put said crap down lower tailgate quickly with hand as damper pick up said objects out in box and with one hand firmly close tailgate with the same amount of time taken as with damper. I don't need a damper.
