I've had GREAT luck with RockAuto - never a wrong part. Totally agree on CarID, but totally disagree on RockAuto.com. They also have parts that can be hard to find. I've been able to find some parts for my 73 Capri there which are almost impossible to find elsewhere.

I'm sure people have good experiences but I have heard enough personally I simply wouldn't do business with them.

i see so many adds for carid and the prices are typically the lowest of anything in a google search for a part. too good to be true.

I just received (at 06:34) an email confirming my refund. It came from PayPal which is what I used to pay. That's linked to my Amex and will check that next. If nothing else, CARiD came through on the refund so they have that going for them in a positive way.

I'm now on the hunt for the power step from somewhere else.

id be grumpy too! thats crazy. I dont have anything against people in india or the place in general but, anytime I get phone support etc. and i hear the india accent and sounds my mind says scammers.

Likewise, I have nothing against India either. I'm a fan of the Hoax Hotel YouTube channel which exposes a lot of scammers. That's where my stereotype of call centers comes from. The way the guy exposes them is comical and good for a laugh or two.

Good that you were able to get a refund. I bet if you were to order again from another supplier the cost will be more than $1,764, because of the temporary inflation that has gone up only an inch.
