  1. Consistent fuel mileage?

I can see the F series being able to survive the test of time. Being here in the Midwest older trucks still reign, 90's Rams, Silverados, F-series can be found on the road. Some in good condition some that if you slapped hard enough might fall apart. Colorado, best thing to do would be get on a...
  2. Consistent fuel mileage?

The first problem was the fact that it was a 6.0L Powerstroke. Both the 6.4L and 6.0L were problems from the get go due to Ford and International being forced to rapid comply with EPA laws. The emissions choked causing excessive back pressure and turbos blew left and right or even more of...
  3. Consistent fuel mileage?

Diesel is an extreme long term investment. I had talked about it with my service advisor as we compared the Ranger to other trucks IE Diesel Colorado. I had said if I bought either when available a Diesel F150 or Colorado it would essentially be the last Truck I buy. Because the benefits of...
  4. Consistent fuel mileage?

21-22 mpg city no Auto Start Stop as it's disabled. Highway is 26 possibly higher just the fact I didn't have consistent driving conditions on my road trip to Florida and back to get a proper calculation. Only two actual good days of highway driving hand calculated was 26.5 mpg. That was with a...
  5. Genuine Ford Merchandise

Check out Ford Merchandise Australia they have a section just for the Ranger and Ranger Raptor. They also ship world wide.
  6. Dealership + Warranty Claims experience

Never had an issue when it came to Ford for warranty work. Ford actually stepped up in a case I had with my Focus and replaced the shifter cable believing that was the issue which I believe they were right. As the shifter latch quit breaking after it was replaced. What was to be done was...
  7. Saw a Ranger today.....

Don't tell the Chevy boys they might cry and call you a liar.
  8. Should Farley be fired?

One of the most interesting things that may be sustainable for the future is the small Nuclear Reactor that is no larger than a School Bus and is able to produce power for several home city blocks. I believe it was two years ago this was breakthrough. The reactor is small enough to be placed...
  9. Should Farley be fired?

California has a whole slew of self inflicted problems from their laws and it's only getting worse. There's plenty of reason to just not like that state, been there enough times that one couldn't ever pay me enough money to live there I would live in New York first. Again anything on Wikipedia...
  10. Should Farley be fired?

You're right there is no perfect solution but small things can add up in helping bring relief to the problem.
  11. Maverick in at my local dealership, compared to my ranger

Concerning Mexico Assembly Plant Workers make something like $3USD a day the wages down there absolutely are horrendous though quality from Mexico is hit or miss. If you have ever seen an actual pre Aluminum Generation Wolf F150, it blows away anything the US assembled. The interior is more...
  12. Should Farley be fired?

There is plenty of water to make Hydrogen Plants and again, leaving them to be self sustained. No, Desalination Plants can be built up and down the coast and would help with the Drought Conditions. I didn't say it would be a 100% Solution but it sure beats putting a bunch of plastic balls in...
  13. Should Farley be fired?

No they will find a ''Problem'' with using Hydrogen Fuel despite the only emissions it makes it just a few drops of water. The second issue is the fact of making any Desalination Plants. The West Coast is a prime example of how ''Lunacy'' runs over rampant there. 90%+ of the Drought and Water...
  14. Why did you pick Ranger

I didn't need a full sized truck, honestly I did want a Colorado Diesel and would take the necessary extra driving steps so the DPF filter didn't clog up, since I play the game what will I drive more daily? My Metris at work or my own personal vehicle. Though since getting a Colorado is little...
  15. Should Farley be fired?

EV's are also pretty much non-practical, I can drive to either coast in two days in a normal vehicle. It would take me at least 4 days going either way due to the fact of how limited the range and charge times are. That wouldn't count the fact that the more weight an EV has the less the range...
  16. Colorado Bison

That 2.8L Duramax is actually the Italian VM 2.8L Diesel which was used by Chrysler for the Liberty CRD, it had a short run here in the US but was used for the Liberty in the export market. One thing about VM Diesels, they really are not meant for towing, as the VM 3.0L is Chryslers...
  17. What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?

Steering wheel trim for a Ranger Raptor, came with the steering wheel switches, they won't be of use so I removed them.
  18. Anyone NOT use vehicle wifi hotspot?

It's supposed to be an active feature of your truck, granted you can turn it off in the Sync settings if you so choose. I would suggest calling Ford's Customer Hotline and let them know your trucks Wifi isn't activated like it should be and that your dealer won't right the issue.
  19. Anyone NOT use vehicle wifi hotspot?

Took advantage of the Unlimited for $200 a year. Has come in overall handy on the highway traveling. When carrier service fails I have the trucks hotspot working so I still have service.
  20. 18's vs 17

21' model year STX Special Edition got 18 inch wheels also first and only year. I believe that you may still get the 18' black with the blackout package.
