It looks like a rest for the Upper control arms, for when the truck is on a lift, just my 2c. I would be more concerned with the upper part of the coil spring,in pic 1, it looks like it's rubbing on that black bucket(?)with FOX written on it. Is that normal?

Sid, I've been eyeing these Coopers as replacements when the Hankooks go. Are they pretty quiet on the highway? Any noticeable drop in fuel economy? Are they good in the rain? Always wanted the Wildpeaks, but the secret's out they're good tires and their not inexpensive anymore.
