  1. Six weeks with my Ranger,

Lol early 90's when I was on the Job, the good 'ol plastic milk crate behind the front passenger seat, just to keep the back upright. They always broke
  2. Six weeks with my Ranger,

Lol! I confess I don't hand wash my vehicles, haven't in years, just to lazy so I go to the car wash. When one of the carwash workers gets in the driver's seat to pull the truck out of the wash, I'm always left to re adjust the seat, cursing.... Most-not all those guys are vertically-challenged...
  3. Exhaust?

I will! give me a day or 2, gotta get one of my girls to help me. I Suck at computer stuff, I'm a late bloomer with this stuff. It's a miracle I made it this far
  4. Well folks, I'm sorry

You'll be surprised how much torque that motor has, trust me. if you don't tow mega tonnage, that truck will serve you nicely. I remember the owners manual for my GC, stated synthetic oil not necessary. Things might've chanced since then but that motor is not hard-working on oil. Good luck! I...
  5. Well folks, I'm sorry

That's a nice truck. Enjoy it in good health. I like silver (and chrome). My previous truck was silver. The 3.6 Pentastar 6 cyl is a very good engine, smooth running and quiet. I had that motor in my '14 Grand Cherokee. Plenty of pulling power, though not a V8. They ironed out all the kinks in...
  6. I drove the new Frontier yesterday.

Nice review! Honestly when I went to trade my Titan I went straight to look at the Frontier, which is in many ways a baby Titan. Nissan didn't make me happy with the trade in value for my Titan..which was an SV and had very low miles. My buddy's been a Ford guy a long time, he convinced me to...
  7. Exhaust?

One of the first things I did to the truck when I got it was exhaust, I wanted a little sound and freer flowing. I liked the sound of the Flowmaster FX 3" on the Youtube videos but in real life the sound inside the cabin was irritating, not nice at all. Thanks to SVT-Raptor recommendation I had...
  8. Exhaust?

    Nice clean work, beautiful welds?
  9. Am I being too picky?

Talking about checking the trans fluid level, why on earth did most if not all manufacturers do away with the trans dipstick? how much more would it set-back car makers by putting one in? This bothers me, the transmission is just as important a component in the driveline as the engine is. I just...
  10. Am I being too picky?

You're not being picky at all, you brought the Truck there expecting them to just do what you requested them to take care of. They gave you nothing but excuses. Sorry, but I don't trust dealership for stuff like this. I got an appt, the 18th of this month for exactly the same thing you wanted-to...
  11. Ranger makes list of vehicles with most associated DUIs

Yep! I’m much older and a Little wiser. Thank God I never hurt anyone or myself
  12. Can't We All Just Get-a-long?

Take it as a Compliment. You know what you got, and its All good
  13. Your Age-Your First Ford-What You Learned To Drive On-Your Rangers Year!

I'll be 57 this June. Learned to drive-believe it or not on a Forklift, Hi-Low my Dad called it. An Old, and I mean old Hyster that had a clutch too, and that is how I learned stick. Great memories of going to work with my Pop on a Saturday, he was a cabinet maker and worked in a huge Cabinet...
  14. Finally Did My Own Oil Change

LOl. Sorry to distract from the OP, but yeah, a pathetic soul I am. The wifey's workload, the kids, thirty plus years of marraige, etc,etc......I could go on and on....... At least the Ranger doesn't talk back to me
  15. Finally Did My Own Oil Change

Nothing like doing your own oil changes for self-satisfaction. Almost as good as sex...almost Good job ?
  16. Afford Tonneau Options

I got the Truxedo Truxport Roll Cover, if that's what you like. Had one on a previous truck, and zero complaints. Quality made and durable. Easy install. Part# for the Ranger is 4074 for the Supercrew 5' bed Truxedo website lists for 349.99 I got it through Amazon for the Ranger for just a...
  17. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Took a nice ride from NYShitty up to Fairfield U to have lunch with my daughter, Felt good to get the Ranger on the highway, warm up that oil real good. Been doing mostly short trips back and forth to work. Truck runs so nice in Sport mode with hardly any traffic:thumbsup:
  18. Went Cyber Orange I stead of Cactus Gray

Both Outstanding colors. Enjoy your new Ride!
  19. Is Ford liable for this?

The very few times I've had the occasion to bring a vehicle into the dealer...I Always got the dreaded knot in my stomach.
  20. Is Ford liable for this?

That sucks, and I know you're pissed. I had a similar experience with a Nissan dealer with my previous truck. Cosmetic only and visible only to my eyes and nothing mechanical. My opinion- an Armor All wipe does wonders. And let it go. Who knows- they might F it up more than they already did. No...
