  1. Left 12v outlet does not have power

Replaced the sockets about a month ago and have not had an issue since. Looks like the sockets themselves were failing.
  2. Portable vs. Fixed Air Compressors: Which Side Are You On?

I have the viair 450p and my simple explanation is sometimes I need to air other people up and it can be way easier to connect the compressor to their vehicle versus maneuvering my truck into a position that I can reach all four tires.
  3. Left 12v outlet does not have power

Following up to my extra late follow up! Got in my truck this morning and the passenger side outlet was dead again. I'm going to order a replacement socket and see if that's the issue.
  4. Left 12v outlet does not have power

Late follow up but I ended up tearing into the dash since my second 12v outlet up front died last week. Upon pulling the panel that houses both sockets I confirmed I had voltage to both. The. I disconnected both and confirmed continuity from each pin to its respective side of the outlet and when...
  5. Anyone Towing a Teardrop?

I have a hiker trailers midrange deluxe, they replaced it with a different model but it's a lifted version of their midrange trailer. I got the 5x9 and the only regret is not getting the 5x10 for a little extra storage. My ranger tows it like it's not even there, to the point where I don't even...
  6. Vibration at 70 mph, Driveshaft in question

Yeah, I was looking at replacement too but considering mine failed around 50k and the bearing plus labor is going to equal the cost of the tom woods driveshaft I figured if the drive shaft makes it 50k it will be worth it. The driveshaft is an easy diy swap and customer support for tom woods is...
  7. Vibration at 70 mph, Driveshaft in question

I also had this issue and switched to the tom woods driveshaft, it's a night and day difference. The truck had a slight vibration since I picked it up with 17k on it but around 50k the carrier bearing on the factory driveshaft started to go and the vibration kept getting worse. If it's as bad as...
  8. Transmission temperature gauge

    Found it in here https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/trans-fluid-temp-engine-oil-temp-pids.33664/#post-749420
  9. Transmission temperature gauge

What PID are you using to get oil pressure? I looked a while ago but didn't see one.
  10. Transmission temperature gauge

I'm running a veepeak Bluetooth adapter and the obd fusion app. It lets me pull up the readouts on the screen for the radio through CarPlay. I watch trans temps when I'm towing in heavy traffic or steep grades.
  11. Went wheel shopping today and came up empty. Any suggestions?

I am a strong believer in just buying factory wheels. I got a set of black 17's that would have come on the splash package and I love them. I bought them from Detroit wheel and tire on eBay and they were great to deal with.
  12. Question about rear wheel bearings.

$100 is a lot better then $400 to replace and axle due to a failing bearing! Thank you!
  13. Question about rear wheel bearings.

The right rear wheel bearing on my truck is starting to fail, over 1mm of runout and a loud squealing while turning left. I was looking for a replacement factory bearing set but cannot find oem bearings, I also confirmed with my local Ford parts department that you need to buy the entire right...
  14. Tail light mishap UPDATE

I cracked mine last year and I ordered a replacement from Levittown ford. With tax and shipping it was about $1000. Installation is easy, pull the old lense and swap the blind spot monitor over then reinstall it.
  15. Combo Jump Starter/Inflator

I'll echo what other people are saying, the all in one units are generally low quality. I've had 4 or 5 of them over the years and consistently the battery dies before the compressor does, additional the compressors tend to be slow. I got a used viair 450 and a pair of old fashion jumper cables...
  16. Fog Lights: Essential or Outdated? Let’s Chat About Winter Visibility!🌟

I switched from the factory lariat led fogs to amber fogs from diode dynamics and the difference is incredible. The short story is the white fog lights are useless in the situations you need fog lights because your eyes can't see as much contrast with them. Switching to amber lights makes it so...
  17. Left 12v outlet does not have power

scanned for codes, only code was from when I replaced my fog lights with a set from diode dynamics but the 12v outlets has not been functional for more than a year and the fog lights were last month.
  18. Left 12v outlet does not have power

Did not confirm power to the fuse yet but I did confirm that F10, F16 and F17(In bed 12v) are all good by swapping positions. I did confirm the adapter I'm using works as both the ones I have both work in the right outlet and in the bed outlet.
  19. Left 12v outlet does not have power

The left 12v outlet in my truck does not have power, I've tried swapping the fuse without success. I even pulled the fuse from the right outlet and switched it with the left outlet fuse. Is the left outlet switched? I'm wondering if it is turned off somehow, I do have forscan so I could probably...
  20. B&O Amp integration

I ended up going with the stealthbox and an acm-1.300 amp and harness from plugnplaykits, nothing close to the 1800wrms I was pushing in my old truck but its a very clean install. One of the biggest things I did was installing about 30lbs of sound deadening into all four doors and under the rear...
