  1. Tire Brand Poll

I'm running BFG KO2's the last set on my gx470 had 80k miles and were still passing inspection. I'm already up to 30k for the set on my Ranger and they look like they're going to go another 30k. Next set will probably be the KO3's
  2. DIY Center carrier bearing replacement?

I ended up just ordering a Tom Woods driveshaft. Wasn't a huge difference in price and I wont have to worry about replacing the center bearing every 50k miles. Overall the truck drives way better, no more reverse clunk, no more clunk when I stop and the biggest is its buttery smooth on the...
  3. Access Grommet

The installation will not be as clean but I used the grommet under the drivers foot well due to the length of the cable I was running. It was very easy to get to and with the floor mats back in you can't tell there is anything run through there.
  4. DIY Center carrier bearing replacement?

That appears to be correct, some other vehicles have clearance in between the ujoint and the fastener but our rangers do not. I did find this post and there is a manual on how to perform the replacement. (1) 2019 Ranger Technical Shop Manuals | 2019+ Ford Ranger and Raptor Forum (5th...
  5. DIY Center carrier bearing replacement?

Did you try the replacement? My center bearing is on its way out and I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to get the nut loosened without pulling the ujoint apart
  6. 1000 to spend on the truck what would you do?

That's the first time I've heard that, I wouldn't rule it out but I would say it's probably unlikely. Based on the numbers from the other 2.3 vehicles like the mustang it seems like it's just the 91+ octane tune that the mustang automatically switches to with a truck profile to be better suited...
  7. 1000 to spend on the truck what would you do?

Interestingly enough ford treats the ford performance tune as any other third party tune. I had my truck in to get one of the transmission tsb's completed and their system flagged my fp tune as third party despite it being ordered directly from ford. They were fine with it once I gave them the...
  8. New FordPass app just sux, literally worthless to actually use.

You're correct, I checked the app and can still see the pictures. When using the website to look at the same service record it does not show the picture despite it showing up in the app
  9. New FordPass app just sux, literally worthless to actually use.

Did you find any way to add in the picture of the receipt? Looking at the records it looks like they deleted the pictures of the receipts I had previously added so I'm assuming Ford doesn't want to store the pictures anymore.
  10. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Took a nice camping trip up to central Vermont last weekend, we stayed on the Mad River. The road in was a bit muddy but I had no issues getting in or out once I was in 4x4. Also got home on Tuesday right in time for the ford corporate warranty inspector to evaluate my truck for ford care, the...
  11. Replace Air Dam with OEM Skid Plate

You can install the skid with the full air dam, it's a little tight to get it on but is possible. I installed the full air dam on my fx4, I ended up trimming the dam and leaving my fx4 mini dams on too.
  12. Browsing on eBay and found this......

Thanks, they have a lot of models to pick from! Think I'm going to get this one since it's a hollow shell, now I'll just have to track down some hot pepper metallic paint for it!
  13. Browsing on eBay and found this......

Where did you buy the model you have? I've been looking for a 1/10 scale body to throw on one of my rc crawler chassis but haven't had much luck. At this point it looks like I just need to find a model and print it myself.
  14. Tremors and high octane fuel

That is a good point, since I've owned my truck I've only driven about 10 miles with the tonneau cover open. I'm basically running the same setup as you except I have 265/70 r17 tires which are about 31.6 inches vs 33's.
  15. Tremors and high octane fuel

Took me a while to figure out how my wife is able to get 16mpg in our 4-cylinder Camry, after a lot of head scratching, I noticed she left foot brakes and I would guess she is dragging the brakes while accelerating. Never said anything about it because her commute is 9 miles round trip.
  16. Tremors and high octane fuel

I won't speak to the difference in mileage but I'm a little shocked so many of you can't even break 20mpg. Driving like a complete ass hole I can easily average 20mpg, I commute in Massachusetts traffic where you're frequently reaching speed of 90+ then slowing down to a crawl and back up to...
  17. 19-23 Ranger In-Console Phone Docking System [New Release]

@DirkM already makes exactly what you're talking about.
  18. 19-23 Ranger In-Console Phone Docking System [New Release]

I've been using the MagSafe dock that DirkM from this forum makes in combination with a wireless CarPlay adapter for a year and a half now and I couldn't see myself switching to this. I use my phone for gauges while driving and with this I wouldn't be able to see it. I also don't like that if...
  19. Truck did not start (didn't recognize fob) - too cold?

Glad I could help! Hahaha Thats definitely a new one. I've had a key not present warning with the key in my pocket and a semi low battery, you might need a battery in a few weeks/months.
  20. Truck did not start (didn't recognize fob) - too cold?

If you have the push to start key try placing it in the cup holder and see if the truck starts. This is detailed in the owners manual. If the truck starts then you have a dead battery in the FOB.
