Keeping an eye on this thread for anybody who may have the ARB summit bumper. I really want that thing but need to make sure my truck will still fit in the garage...
I towed 4-5k pound (guessing) from Florida to Colorado when I moved around this time last year. Truck barely broke a sweat. Limiting factor for me was U-Haul's cheapo trailer tires and not wanting to have a blowout in the middle of nowhere Kansas.
Ranger towing is a treat, the 2.3 punches well...
I am a former CTS-V owner and still in-tune with that community. I'd really like a CT5-V Blackwing with a 6 speed manual.
I would like to buy another 2nd gen CTS-V or maybe a 3rd gen if the prices come down enough in the future.
I am strongly considering picking one of these up, but I am concerned the extra length may prevent me from parking in my garage. Anybody in the front range with one of these bumpers willing to do a test fit in my garage and confirm if the sizing will work?
Willing to compensate with a beer or...
What was the issue with the lights/grill? The part itself is very simple. The install is annoying, but that’s because of the cable routing to the fog light more than anything else. I find it hard to believe there was an issue unless the part was outright broken
I don't have any numbers to show, but I recently did a road trip from Denver to Vegas and back. I got better mileage crossing the Rockies than I did in Utah. Inclines are a factor, but I find I take a much more severe hit to mileage from wind than inclines.
I've been following that facebook group for some time now. From what I've seen, the prices are still delusional for anybody who is on a budget. They do seem to be tapering off a bit though.
at the risk of implicating myself in this gravedug thread....
These trim pieces are 1 time use and not cheap to replace. Mine had to come off a few months ago when I got the roof repaired, never bothered to replace them. One day I'll do a roof rack that mounts into that slot.
I'll offer a solution other than selling, I bought a single second hand wheel off eBay and got my last good dynapro mounted to it (popped one and severely damaged two, all in a single day). I now have two full size spares. They are a different size than my current tires but only about an inch...
Neglected to take any pictures, but big thanks to @Colo_Ranger and @Nopalito for the assistance installing Tremor leafs. The ride height is about an inch higher in the back and ride quality is considerably better than the stock monoleaf.
tjaoutfitters.com is the website, run by a local Ranger guy, Travis @RoadBoss
Excellent quality, he's also running a memorial day sale right now if you're interesting in picking one up.
From personal experience, I recommend against the Fox 2.0 strictly because the adjustment collar requires a specific spanner, does not utilize a typical spanner/punch connection. The fox-specific spanner is difficult to find. I suggest 2.5's or another brand which utilize a universal spanner...
