My 2022 XLT has been trouble free. I added the hood struts and engine cover (only the hood struts were a good decision). In the end, this truck has been perfect for my needs. We hike/snowshoe almost 7 days a week, year round, so we spend a lot of time on dirt roads and fire trails getting...
I guess that makes sense, although you would have to be parking REALLY nose down for the drip to miss that #4 cylinder, but I suppose it is possible.
For anyone thinking the OEM cover cover (which I have) eliminates the water collection issue, just run your truck through a carwash and flash a...
The engine cover doesn't cover the #4 plug well closest to the firewall. The cowling above that plug/coil pack has a clip right above the plug and water that is running off that cowling runs right through the clip and down into the number 4 plug well (with the stock engine cover on), this water...
Good idea. I need to do that anyway as the under carriage has so much gritty mud caked up under there that it makes doing simple tasks like an oil and filter change pretty unpleasant as the slightest brush against any surface showers you with grit. I think I will do that before I take it in to...
Thanks much, I tried a couple of the RealTruck dealers with no luck (one said flatly they wouldn't;t do it and the other said they would call me back, but never did).
I noticed that my local Ford Dealer was on RealTruck dealer list. I went down to schedule my windshield remove and reinstall...
Thanks for the great advice (real experience).
I think there is a RealTrucks dealer in my area, I will gladly pay them if they can get them working.
On the lube, I am a little concerned some of my issue is related to a lack of lube (or binding from grit). We spend about 50% of the time we...
So I have made the decision to deinstall my AMP Powersteps from my 2022 XLT FX4.
I spent the morning and part of this afternoon seeing if I could get the two operators on each side close enough in alignment that the steps would stow completely. I tried everything I could think of...
They do make a 4 motor option, they call the PowerStep Extreme, unfortunately I just checked the availability and they don't make one for the Ranger, only F150 and up. Looking at it, it likely wouldn't have been an upgrade option anyway.
I will fiddle with it some more with shims and such, but...
I spent some time "fiddling with the mounting points, torquing in different sequences" as per the advice from the company and still no joy so far. I need to really clean the front operators so I can get some serious lube on them to see if that will help. Longer term, even if that does the...
From everything I have read on the subject, this last release of FSD was a major jump in reliable function.
Based on what Elon himself has said many times, FSD is at the heart of Tesla's future. Elon's own quote went something like "Tesla's value is essentially zero long term if we aren't...
Yeah, I saw it somewhere on YouTube, quite the flap. Seems many new owners are finding their Cybertrucks corroding within a very short time, turning it into a true mad max style look right away. So they do a vinyl wrap, which also allows them to get a color other than brushed stainless to...
Makes sense, the sign doesn't say "Physically Handicapped".
I read that body corrosion is such a problem, the cool kids are wrapping their's right away.
Maybe your ODB software is configured improperly? Without an upstream O2 sensor nothing is going to work properly in your EFI and Emissions systems. You definitely should have a CEL.
Man, that is terrible luck. I think I would move on as soon as your warranty runs out. Of course, with the luck you have had, you probably will have fixed everything that might go wrong, just about when you off it. :(
My 2021 XLT FX4 SCrew has been trouble free other than the windshield...
I am in the same boat as a few above.
I installed my Amp Powersteps on my ‘21 FX4 maybe a year ago. It was a fussy install to get them aligned properly and operating correctly, a few times back and forth with the bolt up sequence, before they would retract completely, but finally got it...
Funny as I passed on 93 due to the warning signs on the I15, basically warning of Snowmedgedon 2, before I got to the junction. I actually love the Great Basin, so prefer that road. My wife lives in fear that her end will come in a head on from a two lane like 93. She always wants to take...
Been a while since I checked in here.
Just a heads up for anyone that gets a check engine light (MIL) P0171 shortly after refilling.
We were in Las Vegas and just before heading out to return home, filled up a pretty empty tank at a Chevron station. About 40 miles into the tank full of gas I...
