If you have a dealer nearby that could run some sort of diagnostic log, they may be able to shed some light. Not an OBD scan or anything, but some other kind of ECU log accessible to dealers. I'd try to do it ASAP as logs usually only go back so far. They might shrug and send you on your way...
Ah yes it does there I see that now. I'm assuming since my truck has a 10/19 build date that my blower motor is a non-recall blower. Nonetheless, the shit stinks and it's annoying. The only good thing is that it smells every damn time you turn the heat/defrost on so the dealer can't say anything...
I may be blind, stupid, or both but what exactly am I looking at here and how did you get a photo of it? Is this the correct install or is something wrong in this photo that isn't obvious to me?
I spent 2 hours looking through this the other day because mine is doing the same thing. The thing with that is that my truck is showing no recalls. Mine was also produced in 10/19, so it may not be directly impacted by this recall, but the fact is that it smells like some damn crayons are...
So you performed the update, verified that it completed after 90 minutes, took the truck out of accessory mode (returned the truck to "off"), and then 6 hours later everything was locked up? That is weird. Any issues since?
I'm going to bump this because I've been wondering why the XLT trim doesn't have heated mirrors (my cheap Subaru had them!?) and if anyone's figured out an easy/cheap way to add them. Also, I want everyone to read Phil's story on Page 1 LMAO.
Was the truck running? I'm assuming no, so it was in accessory mode for 6 hours? If my memory serves, the truck shuts off accessory mode when the battery reaches a certain level - I think mine did it after about 45 minutes when I did my NA119. So the truck would've gone into hibernation long...
I have nearly 4,000mi of mixed driving, majority of which is 26mi round trip to and from work which is either 55 most of the way or 35 depending on pesky truck traffic. My Fuelly app says over those 4,000mi I'm at 22.8. Truck is on avg 1.0mpg+ off, so I pretty much use the Fuelly app exclusively...
I thought about throwing a vanity plate on mine, but I didn't have the plate itself and I got concerned with cleanliness of the paint behind the plate during winter months. Called my dealer for a price anyway. $40 for that f*cking piece of plastic.
Water and dirt will get anywhere, including under this deflector. I agree that the balance between the giant forward facing flat area on these hoods getting chipped all to hell is probably worse than having some future paint issues in that area. I'm going to see if a local clear bra shop will do...
This is the one that looks the best to me. But I am absolutely not crazy about sticking 3m tape on my paint permanently. I hope to keep this thing until it dies so I'm sure in 12 years I will be furious with myself for applying this thing right to the paint. Considering getting a clear bra put...
I like what you've done here. Is the cage part necessary, or can you just get away with the channel/SuperStrut and a sliding tie down? It seems, based off what you have, that it would be easy for an aftermarket company to develop a proper channel system with slideable tie down points using the...
For a cheaper solution that's FAR less elegant and, some would argue, less useful, I bought one of these lights that I've attached via the magnet on the light to the bedside. They're rugged, not bothered by the small amount of water that my tonneau lets in, the battery lasts a while, and they...
It makes me sad that there is not a factory bedrail system available and the aftermarket ones require drilling into the bedside. My brother tells me the most useful thing on his Frontier is the bedrail system. I wouldn't mind paying to have this in the Ranger, but I'm really not a fan of putting...
