Mine just turned one as well but only 15k miles. I liked the truck until I got it tuned now I love it. Better mpg and the 'fun to drive' is a few orders of magnitude higher. Engine and trans are adjusted to be less derpy.
Google seems to indicate this isn't unusual when screwing around with tuning. Also the PCM is doing the work on the relearn - the box was just giving me instructions from the PCM. Again if Google and internet people can be trusted.
I wonder if forscan could do the relearn as well?
Maybe just a glitch. Followed all the no touchy rules and battery was good and charged. If it was the box being weird I am happy said box had the relearn option for that sensor and it didn't need to go to the dealership.
Got to work this morning with no CEL and running fine. Still a bit worried I'm going to see that damn yellow/orange bulb light back up.....
Also odd it was able to run at all of it couldn't "see" it's crank sensor.
Edit: and I just sent them a question about what happened without providing the...
Just had a nice scare. Flashed to try out the towing tune. Didn't like it. Flashed back a few days later (tonight) to the 91-93 soft shift..... And CEL for crank signal. I saw an option for a relearn on the Livernois calibration box and it worked. Panic followed by relief that was an easy fix...
Thank you for the comments of respect and the likes etc. My time in uniform has ended, but it means a lot that people give a shit about the blood, sweat, tears, and time those who have worn the uniform gave up to defend the country. Even if indirectly. Either in peace time or war we all signed...
I was right next door at Camp Castle in 02. Not sure when that was built but it was just a bit north of Casey. We could hear the Casey sirens for the drills before ours went off so we had a bit of warning on was about to happen.
Oh not me. I was talking in general about the Ranger. The closest thing to a mountain in my area of Texas/this trip will be an overpass. That said... Some of Houston's overpasses might count as small mountain climbs.
Got a road trip coming up. I'd like to think it's fine to keep the 93 octane tune going for the better mpg and passing powa.
..
But am I missing anything?
Any reason to flash it back to stock or a lower tune before heading out.
Especially with the way these things can tow up mountains... I...
Another thing that probably doesn't help is how rare a 2wd XL/XLT are in some areas. Not everyone needs or wants to throw down tremor or lariat 4x4 money. That is what I typically see when I randomly browse because I never stay in a car long....
I was originally in the market for a...
Harbor freight has a cheap kit to fit pretty much any weird rear brake setup. I have one, works well. I also do minor repair work on the side for friends so I liked the many options.
That or one of the square things that has various sizes on each side of the cube to spin the rears back in.
Hell anyone here is free PM me if you need to vent. I'll hand over my cell number if it's that bad.

I have a local shop I trust. First sign of a good shop... The old dudes always hanging out drinking coffee with the owner and service rep in the lobby. They are awesome. Helping with DIY stuff and as simple as fluid changes.
That said. My three works packages from the local dealer were not bad...
It still shifts like crap up into 5th (cold) or down to 8th(warm)... Note: tune seemed to fix it but it seems more like it was avoiding 5th but not anymore now that it adjusted.
Besides that and really weird SYNC issues that happen at random then never reappear.
And after the battling bird...
