No kidding eh. I had a vehicle with 17s more than 10 years ago and it was a PITA to find them. Now I have a stupid number of tires that would fit my 17s stock size and plus sizes.
A bit off topic. I actually like the non-LED taillight look better than the LED, but also like having LEDs in the back. I think the grey on grey is good.. but would go black on the "off grey" he has on his truck if it was mine.
Thank you for confirming that. I like to do the over the top bleed to flush out the system. Just keeping an eye on the level so it doesn't drop below the min mark.
As soon as I put this stuff on a random rain storm appeared..... It seems because I tried to clean a black truck. No rain was forecast.....
So... How will it look when dry..
So far. Better than it normally does after it rains.
Any turbo likes colder weather/dislike heat, but I am impressed with the 2.3 in triple digit actual temps. Is this common across Ford's Ecoboost line or thanks to the Ranger being setup for towing and a bit of abuse? I believe we have a bigger IC than a mustang; an example of dealing with...
Now it has grasshoppers on it to make noise. At least I couldn't hear this little guy..... Yet.
Bugs love this truck. I 80% of the time I have a spider behind the fuel door thing.
Who else wasn't a huge Ford fan before the Ranger? I have a one ton GM sitting in the Driveway and a big Kia. My project/race car is going to be a Hyundai (yes I am nuts). My last Ford was an 87 LTD more than 20 years ago.
That 2.3 won me over and back to the blue oval. Super happy with it now...
I have a damper and regularly get 26mpg on highway runs. As long as I keep it under 70. A run to far west Texas were the speed limit is 85... Not so much. The power of the damper can't overpower the effects of aerodynamics.
I have had excellent luck with initial quality and the rare warranty claim with Hyundai/Kia. They just don't built cars or cute utes nearly as capable of the abuse the Ranger can take.. that is why I jumped on this truck. I still have one Kia and no issues so far ::knock on wood::
I have had some initial quality issues, but the parts that count seem pretty robust. Understressed engine and trans (with stock tune). A real frame. I hope to keep this around as long as I had my last daily, 7 years or so. Then it's off to an electric vehicle probably.
