Some form of dealer shenanigans. The part number indicates new transmission. It comes with a converter and fluid. Can confirm this from others posting on here and my conversations with the tech who replaced mine ( an old timer who’s replaced plenty). So the dealer did something. I’d be crawling...
Ok that makes sense now. You probably only have about 100 miles on it and yes you need to drive it for a while yet before having a concern. Would be curious to see the exact details of what they did at 37K.
So I asked how many miles on the NEW transmission and you answered 8-9K. Is the NEW transmission still having the same issue? Your post from today at 1:12pm seems to indicate that.
When under Ford warranty LTIS policy gives the dealer/Ford the option to replace the transmission instead of repairing it. When mine was replaced the tech told me that Ford was wanting to replace the transmission’s on Low mileage/low time vehicles.
I had a new transmission installed in July. Have about 2500 miles on it now. Not noticing any delays at all when cold. But I didn’t drive it in February or March. But it was plenty cold in December and January and didn’t notice any delays.

Standard automotive purchases them from Fords supplier sans the markings. They sell it for that price because they aren’t putting an outrageous markup on it like Ford and have to compete with other aftermarket resellers. Have seen this done with other OEM’s also
Glad you’re getting it covered. I’m wondering why they didn’t put a new transmission in it. They’re so inexpensive now. Around $2500-$3000 range. Last I checked the remans were much more expensive. I mean it’s their dime but ….
He built two to test I believe. Those worked out well. Needed to get the adapter that fits the Tremor rear differential flange designed on CAD so he could get them made on a CNC. Last I knew he had a Tremor flange and was working on the adapter design.
