Do you have a copy of the repair order of what they did when they “rebuilt “ your transmission? Looking at your previous posts all I could see was a valve body replacement.
No issues yet. But I did have some spare time the other day and did a preemptive strike on my DPFE sensor. Removed the factory crimp clamps and replaced them with screw type clamps. Will make swapping out with my spare sensor that currently rides in my glove box easy to do when the time comes.
I never had a light and they put a new transmission in mine under warranty. It all has to do with shift quality. They will check for codes but it’s not contingent upon having any. Attaching the TSB for you to read up on
So your still under the 5 year 60K miles powertrain warranty. I would suggest that you take it in to have the transmission looked at ( TSB 24-2101 ) before doing anything to the transmission yourself. More than likely you are having the TSB related issue. If so then Ford will cover it.
So I had a similar experience after they replaced my transmission. Repair order showed they replaced the oil filter but no mention of oil. I was already going to pull a sample ( easy with the Valomax) to check on fuel dilution that was high this spring so I did. Results came back and I noticed...
Turbo wasn’t replaced just the external waste gate actuator per the article. That part isn’t affected by type of oil. But the compressor wheel on the conventional oil one is pretty gunked up. Most likely because of the piston ring issues and blowby that’s being re ingested via the top crankcase...
This ➡️➡️➡️ “My advice: if you’re still under the 5 year powertrain warranty don’t wait or else you’ll be paying 8-10K for this repair.”
I also cannot emphasize this enough .
No worries. I was responding to the “that a motorcycle or small car could easily hide in.” that I couldn’t see comment. I also drive slow and my head on a swivel.
