I carry 2 10 foot kayaks in the bed constantly.
I put a carabiner on the nose of each kayak and run a strap through those that attaches to the hooks in the bed. The nose hangs off the truck so the way I strap it pulls them back into the bed of the truck. Then I run a strap across the middle to...
That was my finding as well. Using the app took 20.26 seconds vs 12.32 using “hey siri”. But more than that, the convenience of not having to touch my phone, wait for the app, etc, is incredible.
While I appreciate the kind words, I didnt create this. Some folks on Reddit are responsible for this one. I just linked to the instructions. I take no credit for any of the work that the developers put into this.
I would ask in the reddit thread. I just relayed the shortcut but the developer should be able top help out.
I just tested all of them and Im not seeing any error so maybe delete the shortcut that's erroring and reinstall it?
Sorry I can't be much help.
Some geniuses over on reddit have figured out how to get Siri Shortcuts working with the FordPass app so you can tell Siri to start your truck, stop it, unlock it, lock it, check the fuel, oil etc. Ive installed the shortcuts and tested them all out on my device and they are working perfectly...
Guys, he has a 2.5” lift. Posting what a 3” lift will handle doesnt really help.
A 2.5” lift will handle 275/70R17 without any trimming IF they are BFG KO2’s. I have not seen another brand in that size that will fit without any modding. The KO2’s run slightly amall which is why they fit.
I...
Do any of you use CarPlay? If so, do you have issues with the mic volume on phone calls being very low?
If you're not sure, while connected to CarPlay, open the voice memo app on your phone and record a clip counting or whatever. When you play it back it will either be perfectly clear or very...
@UofMEngineer
Are you able to tell if there were any changes within CarPlay from version 19101 and beyond? I just tried 19274 and it’s the same issue. It’s almost like noise canceling is on steroids in CarPlay.
What I don’t get is why 19200 works perfectly in my wifes truck but horrible in mine.
You're gonna need forscan. I use this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083FML519/ref=dp_cerb_1 Not sure why people are paying $60 for the adapter when its completely unnecessary. I'll flip the switch twice and save my $40.
Well the mic is horrible on 19200 as well.
Edit: The mic on 19101 is perfect so I’m staying on that version. I’m not even going to try 19274 considering the 2 versions surrounding it don’t work.
I’ll do the official update next month and see if anything’s changes. Otherwise I’ll downgrade back...
Just went from 20021 to 19101 to begin the update to 20136. While on 19101 I tested the CarPlay mic volume since I’ve had major issues with it. On 19101 the mic volume was perfect so I went to 20136 hoping it would be better than 20021. Unfortunately it’s even worse on 20136.
I’m now in the...
I think they stuck for you because you programmed them in Forscan And it’s overriding the update. Probably the same reason the splash screens aren’t getting reset after an update.
I believe it’s manufacturers implementations of CarPlay. It’s across multiple manufacturers, not just Ford. On my wife’s F-150 on build 19200 it’s flawless. On my 20021 it is horrible. I wanna roll back to 19200 and check it out but can’t find those files.
This is a software issue or the mic...
Running the same size on the sport 17 wheels and I’ve kept mine at 38 during winter and so far this spring. I tried 32/34/36/40 and didn’t like it. 38 is the sweet spot for me.
If I’m going off road I drop them down depending where I’m going.
