  1. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Putco lower grill installed. Those little trim clips with the spikes can eat my shorts. They did not want to stay put.
  2. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

I picked it up right as they were closing down for the day and I couldn't pin anyone down. No managers, or supervisors. I made it very clear I was not okay with driving it. The lowly service advisor couldn't help me. Definitely not taking the truck back to this dealer in the future. I will take...
  3. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

Thanks man. It has been extremely frustrating. I did check trade in and it is way higher than what I paid. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been looking at other trucks.
  4. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

Update 12/31: So I called, left a message and email the service department on Wednesday regarding how long it was going to take to get my diff and so far I have not received a response back. The part was supposedly coming from Sacramento which if I recall correctly is Ford's large parts depot...
  5. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Flat black tailgate letters installed. I really need to wash this poor truck. Needed to do something to it while I wait for the dealer to get a new front differential in since they destroyed it by not refilling the fluid when fixing a bad seal.
  6. AUXBEAM switch panel installed

Looks awesome! Wish mine didn't get lost by Amazon and refunded... I got it for a steal on Black Friday. Still need to reorder it.
  7. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

It is scary how accurate that can be... See that happen several times to various degrees at my job. I have the truck back. Howling diff and all. Told me to drive it as the part will take a week to get in. Hope it lasts the 500+ miles I am going to put on it in that time. Not much choice as I...
  8. 27+ week delay on '22 Ranger with Ford Spray in bedliner

Got a quote for $650 for the basic Line-X on my Ranger 6' a few months back. Ended up with a BedRug and a tonneau.
  9. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

Update 12/27 ~2PM Dealer called. Front diff housing needs to be replaced. Said it would take a week to get in. Part is supposedly in Sacramento. I'm in Fresno. I can make that drive in three hours. I told them I need it done by Thursday. All I got was "uhhhh..." They said it is okay to drive in...
  10. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

Yeah, dealers seem to be a black hole around here. I've had several new/certified vehicles and I only had one warranty repair prior to this. That was on my Fiesta for a blown speaker. In and out in two hours no problem. That was at a different dealership that my family had been patronizing for...
  11. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

I don't use 4WD where I live but, my parents live up the way into the mountains. They got some decent snow today and are supposed to keep getting more this next week. I was planning on being up there for new years but, that may not happen now. Probably would need 4WD up there as the roads are...
  12. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

I normally do all of my own wrenching. I've owned a lot of s**tboxes since high school and in the last four years I've been buying new/certified cars so I don't have to do that. No issues with my Subaru and Chevy. Ford so far has not been impressing me. Our fleet of work vehicles is all Ford at...
  13. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

I won't point fingers until I have proof. Played that game too much in my line of work (parts guy for field repair techs). Hopefully I get a loaner should there an extended stay at the dealer so I don't have to bum a ride over the holidays. ?
  14. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

I hope not... I imagine that is a long time backordered. That would be just the cherry on the ? cake that has been 2021.
  15. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

Funny you should say that. The work order lists NO gear oil on the list of parts.
  16. Howling/Whirring Sound From Front End. Speed Dependant

So it has been about three weeks since Ford fixed my leaking front differential at ~4000 miles. It has been leaking since at least 1000 miles. Unsure if this related but, I now have a howling/whirring sound that is vehicle speed dependent. It is independent from the engine speed and transmission...
  17. Bilsteins

It looks like Summit has the rear 5100 shocks in stock (16+ in stock). I'm thinking I should order a pair as the FX4 shocks have been really irritating me now that our roads are getting to look more like the moon after the rain here. Potholes are opening up everywhere.
