  1. Maverick in at my local dealership, compared to my ranger

The front end is a little meh but, it is inoffensive. It is not aggressive nor is it cutesy. Very much middle of the road to appease to the suburbanite CUV shopper market that they are trying to tap into. I was super close to ordering a Maverick. It would do everything I needed it to do during...
  2. Maverick in at my local dealership, compared to my ranger

AWD 2.0T build and a tune that thing will sweet little runner.
  3. Maverick in at my local dealership, compared to my ranger

I know people have been having issues with Toyota Tacomas after the production moved to Mexico in 2018(?).
  4. Goodbye Ranger, Hello 2022 Frontier

I was on fence of the 2022 Frontier. It is good looking truck and I know the engine and trans have been solid for the last few years in the old body style. I just don't trust Nissan anymore. Way too many issues with their other offerings in the last decade or so. Good color choice though.
  5. Leaking from front differential at ~1100 miles

Just got the call from the dealer. Pinion seal is bad. About two weeks to get a new one. They topped off the fluid and told me keep driving it. I'm going to pick it up later today.
  6. Ranger Mileage Overstated?

    Zombie thread GO!
  7. Leaking from front differential at ~1100 miles

I dropped it off at the dealership this morning. They called late in the afternoon and wanted to keep it overnight. The tech had cleaned it all up and wanted to see where it is leaking from without all of the oil flying around everywhere. Hopefully is just a seal and I might get it back...
  8. Mileage When Ordered Truck Arrived

Mine had 46 miles on it. Took from dealer stock but, it had just been put on the lot that day so I was the first and only person to test drive it.
  9. Leaking from front differential at ~1100 miles

If you are talking about this thread then, no I don't think so. From what I am reading on that issue it was the outer axle shaft not the input. Mine is the seal for the drive shaft that comes out of the transfer case. Although, it could very well be the same thing. I didn't mess with the shaft...
  10. Leaking from front differential at ~1100 miles

This will be my first time having a warranty repair in a long time. I have only owned two new and two CPO vehicles before (stuff with factory warranties). I had a speaker replaced in my 2012 Fiesta under warranty but, that is it. Sort of new to the warranty repair participation. Hopefully this...
  11. Issues with Easy-Fuel filler in California

Just had my first issue with this today. One pump did NOT like me and would not fill until I was pumping super slow. Luckily I was just topping off before driving back home so I only had to put about five gallons in. If I was coming from empty it would have really irked me.
  12. Leaking from front differential at ~1100 miles

2021 XL STX FX4 Supercab So, I am kind of glad I am an impatient person and picked up an exhaust system last week. I had the truck up on the lift and I noticed oil all down the undercarriage. I traced it back to the front differential input seal. It has been slinging oil everywhere. Not sure how...
  13. Report your MPG

2021 FX4 Supercab. ~1100 miles on the clock. 91 octane, sea level, 70-85*F. 95% freeway with the cruise on 68-70mph 29.07mpg I am shockingly impressed with that mostly pure highway mpg. City mpg has been... disappointing to say the least.
  14. Engine noise "ticking/clicking"

For sure. This is my first Ecoboost. It is all new to me. Hopefully, that warranty goes unused.
  15. Engine noise "ticking/clicking"

I was in a drive thru yesterday and it was shocking how much noise the truck makes. Not even my rotted out 1967 F250 made all of those noises.
  16. Engine noise "ticking/clicking"

I saw that little arm actuating and can hear that separately and distinctly. It makes a squeaking noise. Not associated with the tick as far as I can tell.
  17. Engine noise "ticking/clicking"

It seems to not be audible once you rev it up. I was out just on my break and took one of mechanics that I work with out to hear it. There is a buzz/vibration when you rev it up and release the throttle but, that may be the fuel pump.
  18. Engine noise "ticking/clicking"

I'm curious as to what the ticking/clicking noise I am hearing is. The one that sounds like an old school turn signal flasher. I know the sewing machine sound is pretty normal for direct injection engine but, the loud ticking is extremely noticeable from the front of the truck. I can't seem to...
