Heat up the trans, that will help. Tap it side to side a little to stretch the threads a bit. Underneath with a box end wrench you can get some good leverage, tapping on it with a hammer to shock it loose. A 3/8 extension flexes a lot, it will just spring back. There are many ways to tackle...

5 is on the lower side of full, 4 would be the max full, the way Ford did the stick is odd, 1 is overfull, 6 is really low, backwards in my opinion, 1 should be empty and 6 should be a higher fluid level, but, I wasn't going to change anything, so I copied it, backwards or not.
