It's a little fuzzy, it focused down on the tip, if it's not between 4-5 like the instructions on the stick state, add some!
That stick has been designed to be accurate within 1/16th of an inch when properly installed, use it, trust it, set your fluid level with it, that's what you bought it...
It seems that a lot are low.
Mine was over 2 quarts low, I checked it after reading a low fluid post here a couple of years ago, before the dipstick project, had to do it on the back
It's really surprising, it used to be the dealer PDI pre-delivery inspection would catch low fluid and...
Yes, I got the std height kit, a member suggested just putting it at its stiffest setting, so I played around with it and agreed, full stiff, I could feel the difference between med and stiff, it really helps on the highway, feels better when changing lanes, or when you have to react to...
Many long conversations about that here.
Some say shocks, some say springs, some say rear sway bar, there is a lot of good info here.
I say all of them!
The shocks job is to control the chassis movement as well as control the spring bounce and rebound, the non Tremor Rangers have a mono rear...
Wow, I would have thought that could do it, there are several ways to go at this, I have always suggested the wrench from below, there is room, a rap from a hammer will snap it loose, but I think the majority of people have gone from the top or the fender well, actually I do wonder which is the...
Heat up the trans, that will help.
Tap it side to side a little to stretch the threads a bit.
Underneath with a box end wrench you can get some good leverage, tapping on it with a hammer to shock it loose.
A 3/8 extension flexes a lot, it will just spring back.
There are many ways to tackle...
Hey, first batch dipstick owners,
I have been trying to slowly hit up all the first batch group, if anyone wants a updated stick with the laser etch vs the electro etch, the difference is, it is clearer and darker/deeper, so it's easier to read the fluid level.
Let me know if you are...
I must be running and hot.
The text on the stick states MAINTAIN FLUID LEVEL BETWEEN 4-5 CHECK HOT IDLING IN PARK
It can be difficult to get it hot enough in cold weather!
You need to drive it enough to get it up to full temperature, then check it idling in park, the use of a scanner can give...
5 is on the lower side of full, 4 would be the max full, the way Ford did the stick is odd, 1 is overfull, 6 is really low, backwards in my opinion, 1 should be empty and 6 should be a higher fluid level, but, I wasn't going to change anything, so I copied it, backwards or not.
