The 2.3 head gaskets issues wasn't the Rangers, wrong gasket on the RS. Also, we have the cross drilled block between cylinders vs the top cut block (like the pre22 ish 2.0 ecoboosts) for coolant passages so we should be OK from that issue as well.
So many head gasket issues with Ford 4cyls...
Ford gets no credit for this 100k marker due to the trans thing.
I doubt mine will either. Unless the LMS stuff extends it's life.
I do hope this new trans lives more than 100k for you.
If you don't use a dealer or get a receipt that shows it was done by an ASE mechanic - that 36k coverage is up to.. "did the tune cause the issue". IMO the Ford and most of the other canned tunes are not going to push this engine to failure before 36k unless you rolled the dice and lost...
I wasn't after a bronco but something on the same platform (i think?) I still wonder a year later if I would have been happier had the traded-in car run a bit longer for the Mav to show up. Then the wife got into gardening and outdoor stuff... and I see how much that extra bed helps with that...
I made a post about this... if you want a small drop - nope. REALLY lower the entire thing.. sure!!!
Easier to raise the nose a bit if you want it level.
I said to hell with it and stuck to the stupid mating stance and just added power. I have stuff in the garage to lift the nose, but I have...
The people battling to keep water from getting in via that weird cowl design may have passed out seeing the massive holes in the hood.
That or would add more engine covers all over the engine bay.
Bottom end will hold that power level easy. The Ranger was already pretty detuned compared to others with the 2.3. Think of it more like bringing it back to where it should be more than pushing it beyond its limits. Hell even the explorer is rated at 300 with 87 octane. (I think the 300 rating...

Might want to avoid this time frame from that group, maybe for a few reasons. I remember that story from years ago.
Note. I am not anti union... maybe a bit anti Chrysler. I am also in...
I just got rid of both GMs in my driveway. One of them died immediately due to a really stupid electrical setup.
According to internet rules that proves your point.
Also I see badge engineering not accounted for.... example. I had a 14 Hyundai not listed and it's twin Kia is listed. Said Hyundai said to hell with compression on number 2 at 150kish miles. That is why I am in a Ranger instead of the Maverick I ordered... the sudden screw number 2 thing it did.
Pic after driving it home from work and a good cool down. Right around 4500 miles on this oil change with 6 quarts + a bit of another quart added after it was run to check for leaks etc.
Cycling my oil at 5k. The Ford stuff is in the garage and ready to go soon.
AEM in the background due to...
Free unless you want it shipped. Then I'd ask for whatever shipping and PayPal fees are to get it to you. (Shipping from zip is 77450) However, Houston is an hour from Houston so you would need to grab it from me on the Katy/Brookshire side of things for pickup.
Used for 18k miles. Still looks...
Glad you are happy with it. It just seems like someone stuck the bed on as an afterthought to make a new jeep thing. Just looks weird... but I also think the longer wranglers look wrong as well. So I'm just biased towards the original little one I guess.
This is getting off topic from me, but my first drive home in the Ranger I didn't have time to look everything over and the sales guys were super tired of me keeping them two hours past closing to finish the deal.
So.. very much dark outside
I didn't know about the auto highbeams. That...
