I wonder if it's possible you are hearing the hpfp like on mine when it cools down some. Not the truck but the ambient temp. Once it's 50 to 60s I hear what I thought was ping but it's the noisy fuel system. I'm about to order an engine cover to see if that helps cut down on the noise.
My Sync did a random hard reset on its own and the app didn't drop my truck. I had to reconnect the Bluetooth, Android Auto warnings and agreements etc. Even the.. is there someone in the back seat?.. thing.
That entire thing was weird.
I've been buying from them off and on for years. First purchase was LEDs for an Elantras gauge cluster. Those same LEDs were in it and working well when I donated that car. Always great products and customer service.
Just installed the LEDs for the bed and third brake light (XLT). So much...
Soft shift is still a firmer shift than stock, but not as crazy as the more performance version. So I doubt it is hurting anything; not like its slipping the hell out of the clutches to make it butter smooth.. it isn't for sure. It also skip shifts; something I don't mind when driving normal. On...
Notable improvement from stock on comfort but I also added a bit more rubber to absorb bumps etc. So I don't have a direct comparison to another tire on this ride.
He is weirdly entertaining - sometimes... sometimes he is too much... and I agree with some of what he says. Then other stuff has me wondering if he maybe used a bit too much brake cleaner that day.

If I had to pick Scotty or my local dealership to diagnose a problem.

Firestone Destination LE3s in the requested size of 265/70R17. Old thread but - for comparison to the geo's recently posted. Also; if you don't like the Firestone stuff showing they can flip them around and just show an all black sidewall.
Bonus Pic; Mrs Wytch in the driver's seat. She may...
I think the oldish 2.3 Mustang Ecoboost block coolant design is more like the little ones with the top cut passage that makes a weak point. Ours is more like the RS with the cross drilled. My theory on that is towing on the why they went with the better design that isn't as prone to leaks. I...
New laws for Texas since the original post. Just wave a sword and a gun around while driving. Between that and the dash cam that can't see me. No one cuts me off. I just use the lane departure correction to not run off the road with the hands free driving.
Per the internets
Turn key on but do not start
Flash the brights 5 times
Then press and release the brake pedal 3 times
The battery light that was steady should flash at you to say it is done.
This is why I got a swing case. So far one holds everything I need for emergencies; including a quart of oil. Super easy to remove if I need the entire bed for something.
I'd say those are normal unless you have really low mileage. I plan to swap mine out at 50k unless I develope any weird issues like ping or a sudden drop in mpg. Plugs and another egr sensor actually.
Try a tank of 93. If that fixes it.... you have your answer. Not one you want per your post. You could probably drop back to low octane crap gas once it cools down a bit.
I am stuck with 93, but the difference in the cost of a tank vs 87 is worth it IMO.
If that doesn't do it. Pull the plugs...
Mine was dead on stock. A bit off after the 265/70R17s. Used the LMS box that uses rotation per mile vs size. I'm now indicating 1 mph fast on the dash vs GPS from 20 to 80. Dead on under 20. Weird it stays the same as speed goes up.
Keep alive memory; the capacitor(s?) in the ecm that store memory tables if you need to change the battery etc. Tuners can do it. I think FORScan can but it calls it something besides KAM, or you can take the negative terminal off the battery and step on the brake for a bit to dump the power out...
