Dealer can check "as built data" and verify if is supposed to be equipped. If it's supposed to be there, they will install, if not on As Built, they won't. It's not a problem for them to check.

Not exactly right, a TSB is not a recall. A tsb helps the technician repair a problem and IS paid for by Ford. The problem comes from tsb's are VIN specific and only covered if VIN applies to that specific tsb. If not and dealer applies it, he does not get compensated. Ask "is my VIN covered by...

Agree.... A recall to check shift cable routing is not quite the same as Tacoma's being recalled to replace the frames for rust.....Just saying.
