In 2006, I worked for a ford dealership in midland ontario for two years as their gofor/shuttle driver etc...because i'm mechanically minded, I always sat with the mechanics at lunch and listen to them hashing out their problems with various fixes but one of these problems is...
Hmm... maybe a shot of WD-40 in the spark plug well at each oil change might be prudent.
Since we live in a semi arid climate here, it's probably not an issue. But I wonder if the OP's problem was exacerbated by living in Texas near the gulf... which means high humidity and higher corrosion...
I also have a lift, and I remove the tire. Easy Peazy.
I can't imagine where you're going to relocate the oil filter, where you'll be able to remove it without spilling oil all over whatever is underneath the filter.
Nonetheless if you end up installing a remote set-up make sure you create...
Curious... have you, yourself, changed the oil on your truck yet? I thought it sounded like a pain in the ass when we bought our 2019 SuperCab 4 years ago. I've since changed the oil 9 times. Every time, I'm impressed with how easy it is.
My very 1st truck was a 1985 S15. I ordered it and it arrived with rubbing compound splashed all across the back of the cab. The shipping company had scraped the drivers side of the truck bed and you could see where they had a body shop tape along the body lines and re-shoot black paint on it...
Something to keep in mind.
The tightly tucked sliders are good and bad.
Our Shrockworks sliders are tight and in the winter, they accumulate ice and when it starts to build up it actually hammers against the body of the truck. Since the rock sliders mount to the frame... and not the body...
One useful thing is it makes money for the people selling catch cans... well... useful for them.
Why did Ford add the oil separator to these motors... if it didn't do anything?
And where are all the reports of these motors having coking issues? That would have reared it's ugly head by now...
Here's our '69.
I'm in my early 60's and grew up in the 1st muscle car era. I could really care less that the Camaro is, again, out of production. They never made one after about 1979 that I liked.
Our's is a numbers matching Super Sport. I added tri-y-headers, purple horny header...
The design allows the user to load 4' x 8' sheets of material into the truck and to safely secure it.
Yes, it raises the load above the factory wheel wells, but the height of those wheel wells is not the issue, it's the usable width of the floor between the wheel wells.
@Trigganometry glad it...
