The factory filter is slightly smaller. My filter socket spun until I put a piece of thick rubber tape between the filter and the socket.
Probably has to do with the tolerances of the filter socket.... but, again, the factory filter is slightly smaller.
Once you got out of the garage the Ranger had a clear satellite path and thus was able to report your position to Skynet. jk
Events, such as you describe, sure don't instill a feeling of "confidence".
Curious what trim level truck you have, if it's a 2019, 2020,or 2021 and how many miles are...
It is a conundrum.
Do you support Blue Collar jobs, White Collar jobs, Both? Foreign companies using American labor puts money into the workers pockets, but it's still a foreign company, profits go over seas.
American companies building cars off shore, their profits stay here.
What bothers...
As a side note: Garages / barns are awesome.
Folks are always telling me.. "I/we drove by your place the other day, looked like nobody was home?"
Exactly. A place for everything... and everything in it's place.
A Mafia Godfather finds out that his bookkeeper, Guido, has cheated him
out of $10,000,000.
His bookkeeper is deaf. That was the reason he got the job in the first
place. It was assumed that Guido would hear nothing so he would never
have to testify in court.
When the Godfather goes to...
How deep?
I recall, in our '02 Tacoma, I drove from Loveland to Brighton, on paved back roads in snow varying from 6 inches to 18 inches and they never gave me a reason to doubt them.
I wonder if it's the tires... or the truck? Ever driven another vehicle that had the Hankooks on them, or a...
The Hankook ATM's have served us well. We had a set on my 02 Tacoma TRD that I ran for 57,000 miles. Snow, hail, ice, rain I never had any problems.
Only thing I've found is you have to rotate them every 4,000 miles or they'll start talking to you. Which isn't a big deal now since we change...
I figured it out. Follow me on this....
The Salesman evaluates the buyer and the buyers family, he tells
the Service Manager, who tells
the Technician
who adjusts the truck prior to delivery to buyer.
It'll double your chances of not getting stuck... and those pretty good odds!
I've driven, daily, mid size 4x4 truck since 1997 in 4-season climates. In all that time I used the rear locker one time due to a traction issue in the snow.
With the driveway you are discussing... I'd for sure go...
I'd like to see that video. Could you post up a link?
What air dam are you referring too? There is no single "air dam" on an FX4. But there is on a non FX4 4x4.
The only thing the FX4 has (other than the skid plate) are two individual pieces, in front of the front tires, beside the skid...
Yes. And it fit's in our Ranger too! I used stuff I had on hand and the only thing I purchased specifically for this projects are the bolts and wing nuts. So maybe $4 spent on this.
Happy Trails!
