Ford went thru the same sort of thing with the new generation Fusion Hybrids in 2014. The actual mileage differed by about 5 mpg. From what I remember Ford settled and owners received a check from Ford. I think it was around $1100.
My 2019 Lariat only came with 4 as it was missing the 2 middle tie downs. I showed my salesman the brochure which clearly stated that there were 6 tie downs in the bed. It took a bit but Jubilee Ford got me the 2 I was missing.
I am not sure how I feel about all this high tech stuff. There are a lot of people who can't drive now. With all this stuff they will depend on it too much. When the chips are down they will have been depending on their vehicle to save their ass and the will be pooched.
Living in the cold ass bald Canadian prairies where it gets very cold in the winter I go through the touchless car wash then directly to the grocery stores underground parking to dry off while I shop. I have been doing this since 1997 and have not had any issues with my vehicle freezing up.

I don't know about our neighbors to the south, but up here in Canada I have not seen any commercials for the new Rangers. The only reason I heard about them was because of a Ford salesman told me about 3 years ago that he had been told they were coming back to North America.
