  2. Rangers in SNOW

Here in Saskatchewan we often get snow at -40 or -50c. It's not the snow I dislike it's that friggin wind.
  3. Got the truck today, dealer hid a problem

Both front and rear sensors go wonky when we have a heavy frost, snow or through a car wash. Living in the cold prairies the first 2 happen more than the latter. When It happens I turn off the sensors for a while. If I go through the car wash in the winter I go to the underground parking lot and...

So talented, great job. You should be proud.
  5. Interior Moisture

What you are looking for is large bags of desiccant. Try to find ones that are reusable. You can dry out or recharge them in a low temp oven. We use them in bomb coffins or missile containers that are stored in non climate controlled magazines. I usually put one under each front seat of our...

  7. Smoker-grill

With my Bradley smoker I have the option of moving the smoker source away from the smoker box with an aluminum tube almost lime a dryer vent. With the smoker source moved away and the heat source in the smoker box turned off, all you get is the flavorful smoke for the food...
  8. Smoker-grill

My favorite animal flesh to hot smoke is a bone in beef prime rib followed by a nice big salmon fillet. When it comes to cold smoke it's a boneless lamb shoulder roast with a slow turn on the rotisserie afterwards. I also really enjoy various species of cheese cold smoked.

  10. Will a pallet fit in the short bed?

A standard pallet is 48 x 40. I have brought home pallets no problem in my ranger. Just load them in the narrow way.
  11. Maverick Approach to Storage

All this bitching and complaining about the ranger should have this and the ranger should have had that is hard on the ears. If people would have taken these trucks for a proper test drive and done their homework there would be far less whining around here. No vehicle is perfect and if they are...

All the best to you and your family Phil. Your knowledge and insight will be greatly missed.
  15. So how hot is it where you are today?

Back in the mid 80's while still in the military I got posted to Borden Ontario. I thought it was hell on earth with temps in the high 90's plus a high humidex. There where some fire fighters training there from Jamaica who would be there for 5-6 months at a time. It was hilarious to see them...
  16. What are you feeding your Ranger owner tonight?

Yesterday I cold smoked a boneless lamb shoulder roast spiced with cumin, garlic, rosemary and s & p. Tonight it is going on the bbq rotisserie with a pomegranate syrup glaze. It will be served with lemon roasted baby potatoes, glazed carrots, green beans and a Greek salad. I have some buddies...

  19. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Loaded my wife's summer tires to my buddies house and changed out the winter tires on her fusion hybrid. Then enjoyed AAA rib eye steaks ( the king of steaks IMO ) on the bbq seasoned with nothing more than salt and pepper lol.
  20. What did you do to your Ranger today?

All a good steak needs is salt and pepper period.
