FWIW, now with ~20k miles on the truck and still driving in the same places, I hardly ever notice this issue anymore. I do have a tune on the truck, and I am sure that helps, but honestly I think it is a combination of the trans learning and me learning how to drive a 10 speed.

I did the hardware cloth over the cowl intake after finding evidence of mouse in glove box and no problems since. Will take a look at jack storage area. I didn’t bother with air intake. I have the Roush CAI so if mouse gets in my air is I can watch him through the window like at a zoo!

Are you able to post some photos of the bracket that failed? Just curious how flimsy it actually is.

I considered replacing mine but I have a steel skid plate covering the entire plastic pan. That makes the only benefit being a drain plug and more capacity. Still might someday just because I like tinkering but definitely lower on my list

This seems promising. Has the looks and functionality of the only bumper I like (Coastal Off-road) but at a reasonable price and with no need to learn how to weld.

Delayed response, but fwiw, I never reinstalled that lower plastic shield. Haven’t noticed any problems in a year of heavy use. I did save it in case I decide to remove the winch.

These guys should love the Ranger. It has a rear locker and terrain modes. Those two things are like crack to the TFL crew.
