The only leak I had was at the slide window but it was fixed- the original gasket was torn. The seam leaks could be due to improper torquing…. Since it’s up to an owner or a shop to put it together, I wouldn’t fault the manufacturer unless they followed the instructions perfectly (which most...
I have an RSI and I checked my before and after mpg. It decreased about 0.5 from the tonneau cover (which increased mpg 0.5-1mpg). To me, it is worth it. Accessibility in the rsi is great and keeps all of my gear dry and safe. it is fully lockable (wish it was keyless as there are 6 locks).
My...
Btw, the price for me (Hawaii) was similar to Fiberglass toppers and this shipped in boxes so it was also easier. I did not pay 5k, but it is by far my favorite, and most useful, addition to this truck!
I love my RSI. Super strong and sturdy. The reason why I chose RSI over others was the looks and utility. And all of the fiberglass shells I’ve used cracked and leaked within a couple of years (used hard).
I’ve had mine for about a year now and only had two issues which were both taken care of...
Skipping 2nd gear while driving in the city or on a hill is horrible. There are times when it doesn’t skip and I cross my fingers that the tranny has finally figured me out, but the next day, it skips again. I tend to drive in sport or tow mode in these situations now. In fact, the only time I...
I crawled under mine at the dealership ? I’m not a mechanic or engineer, but I work on my own vehicles. I had to make sure things were stout and accessible… I wanted to see how tucked aways important components were (don’t want it snagging on rocks). I was impressed by how beefy the frame looked...
In 2006, I saw a Ranger with 4 full doors in Dublin, Ireland. I thought it looked really good and was hoping that the US would make 4-door rangers to better compete with the newer trucks…
I took my Ranger to some rocky areas here on my first weekend. I thought the tire did better than expected. Gripped the lava rocks well, sand and dirt. But, while washing it the next day, I noticed chunks missing. No puncture though and lava rocks are notoriously sharp. So, I feel with mild...
I had BORA wheel spacers on my truck for about a year and really enjoyed them. Main thing is, get a quality spacer, install it correctly, check the torque after 50-100 miles, and recheck at every oil change. I’d still run them if I didn’t upgrade to new offset wheels.
