True, but I think it’s more about spanking the driver than the truck ? that $h1teating grin when they get too cocky next to a Ford 4-banger…. Priceless….
Looks okay. Better than I thought but I still like the idea that the Ranger looks different than the rest of Ford’s offerings.
People will be complaining that the Rangers can’t offroad when they see a Maverick stuck… like the Bronco Sport to the Bronco ?.
This is Sassy, a 1998 single cab, flareside, 2wd Ranger. She was a really good truck but would get stuck in grass all the time!!!
She got sold (not my choice) in 2016 but ended up with my red 2020 4 years later. Sassy was such an important part of my kids life and we still see her on the road.
I’m no pro at Forscan, but it sounds like you need to choose MS (or is it HS) on your scanner to unlock the rest of the modules. I think when you start the forscan program and create a profile, it gives you a prompt asking if you have HS on your scanner. I really hope someone else can answer...
I did this the other day and drove about 100 miles after the procedure. At first, I wasn’t convinced it did much for my braking, but today I guess I realized that there was a subtle difference. The truck feels more solid when braking. I wouldn't say it was mushy, but it wasn’t solid either.
I...
Thanks! It’s a beautiful place to call home. I only live a few miles away from the Volcano so I get to visit often. Here’s a pic of the crater in case people prefer looking at the beautiful volcano over my majestic face?
I see 2nd in downhill, slow traffic. Shifts hard. Otherwise I don’t see it and I’d like it on my morning commutes because there are small hills on turns from a stop, where the 3rd gear is too high, so when it goes from 1st to 3rd, it just doesn't have any power. Been trying the tow/haul mode and...
Nice video! I hope they use that obstacle again later to test midsized trucks. I wonder how well the Ranger would do in one of our fancy trail control modes (why don’t we have a rock crawl mode?)
It seems like everyone that actually transports kids in their Rangers likes it. Some people “think” (decree) that it’s uncomfortable because other vehicles are better baby/kid transporters. It seems like your lifestyle requires a truck or similar and the evidence suggests the Ranger would make a...
Thanks for the update! Once you do your first hand calc mpg, I’d be interested how that compared to your Ranger’s mpg with the same drive. The Nissan looks great!
I am absolutely confused by people that are adamantly certain the Ranger is too small for anyone with a family. I guess everyone is different, but damn do some people need a lot of room! ??
I feel like the ranger has very good room for a midsized truck. I have two kids- 13 and 10 and it is perfect for us. But keep in mind I thought my XJ and XB were also good size for my family.
I drive an F150 Crewcab for work and the cab is WAY bigger but my kids prefer the ranger. It’s not just...
I don’t disagree with most of what your post, especially about the climate controls, but do disagree with the seating. I am 6’1” and have more than enough room to go back. It’s probably the most comfortable seating I’ve ever had! But I crank the seat up because I like the higher seating position...
