This is the correct answer. Although I noticed the Mecum auction Bronco doesn't have the original square headlights. It looks like they swapped in the round ones from a 1976-1977 F-150.
EDIT: After a little digging, round headlights were also on lower trim series 1978 Broncos. Still not...
The other upper holes are spaced 110mm on center, while the (3) 'original' tie down hole sets are spaced 95mm on center. So you'll need to spread the factory tie downs out another 15mm for optimum fitment. All (16) holes in question are the same size and reinforced the exact same way; with M8...
For anyone wondering, the AMP Power Step sits about 2-1/2 inches lower than the Tremor hoop steps and about 4-1/2 inches lower than the factory "5 inch rectangular running boards".
Great find. It says the hole spacing is approx. 3.65" on center and the factory holes are 3.75" on center. So it would be best to widen out the spacing when opening the holes up for M8 threads.
EDIT: It also comes in a 4 pack.
I haven't put one on my Ranger, but I've seen them on an F150 (not SuperDuty). It's nice quality and small enough to work on a Ranger. I personally wouldn't do it because of the color. The F150 Tremor's accent color is orange where Ranger's is red. Obviously it's your truck and you can do what...
A local Ford dealer sponsored a hole-in-one contest at a charity golf event with a 2022 Ranger as a prize. Problem; they didn't have a Ranger to display at the event. Enter yours truly. VIP parking FTW!
Tell your doe-eyed dealer to pull up the FMCDealer website (login required) and search for "Vehicle Visibility". Click that link, then click "Search by VIN(s)". You can enter either the full VIN or just the last 8 digits. The "Status History" tab should tell you if it's still in the possession...
Update to my backwards driver's window controls. Redtek's tech guy emailed me asking if I wanted a new harness. I said yes, but decided to attempt to fix it myself anyway. I swapped the two wires on their harness that correspond to Ford's blue/grey and yellow/violet. It worked like a charm. I...
@lawrench I got this response from Redtek Sunday evening, but nothing since.
Meanwhile I got this from an electrical engineer co-worker. If I don't hear anything else in the next day or two, I'll take matters into my own hands by swapping the corresponding pins in the Redtek harness.
The two taps are only for the lock/unlock signal so that couldn't be the cause, but I triple checked anyway. They're correct. I think you're right about a couple of pins being in the wrong places. It could be in the harness or the black box. I disconnected it and everything went back to normal...
