Okay my wording was clumsy. I meant that the M8 threaded eye bolts would fit into those holes; not that the OEM tie down can be relocated to the top holes.

They fit in any holes that the tie downs would attach to. That's the holes in the front of the bed (including the 2 above the existing tie down locations). They also fit in the threaded holes in the center of the bed sides and the tie down attachment points near the tailgate. They DO NOT fit in...

First and foremost, you only need metric wrenches/sockets. Leave the sixteenths stuff at home. Then (IMHO) you can further lighten your kit to include 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 18, 19, 21 and 24 mm.

As far as I can see in the system, they should work. Without a part in my hand I can't be 100% sure. I'm not a part of the Ranger team.
