A company out of Australia makes a really nice one ($$$$) that folds down the length of the bed and doubles as a bench seat or foot stool for the bed.
You could replicate something like that from 8020 out of extruded aluminum.
I just finished printing a revision that is more dimensionally accurate. Deciding if I’m gonna paint again or carbon wrap. I may wrap first so if I don’t like it I can just remove and repaint and clear.
Pod lights come with the brackets and about 12" of wiring leads. You'll have to make your own pigtails for connectors. I used 4 pin Deutsch pigtails for each lights.
No problem.
I had the parts apart this afternoon to measure the switches and get the connector part documented for a pigtail extension as I'm considering relocating them above the sunglass compartment to free up the dash space for another project. Those are the part numbers directly out of...

The switch has two positions for the lack of a better description.
When the rear switch is engaged (either up or down) slightly the circuit for the drivers side controls is disabled so no two switches have control at the same time. Further engagement of the switch activates the motor. Not...
Working on a few tweaks. They press in nice and tight and they appear to stay in place real well. The switch can be sensitive where the window cannot be controlled from the drivers controls if the switch is slightly pressing up or down. Pressing into place solves this, but its a bit too...
I did the touchscreen in the truck this morning. The oleophobic coating from the factory just scratched way too easy and was cloudy, you could see in dim light with a light against the dark screen. Polished the screen with Novus #2 to remove the coating down to bare glass. Put on a coat of...
I have a cold weather jacket that’s the same duck weave material from Carhartt. Very easy to clean and can take a beating. Up north it’s pretty much my wardrobe, Carhartt everything. Sister laughs that I’m a walking billboard for them.
With a 110lbs lab that goes with me everywhere, having...

TPU so it won't scratch the plastic. Just wider than the housing so it squeezes into place. Small gap in the front to be able to pull it out when needed. Windows won't go up or down.
I'll play with the design a bit to get a draft angle to the top so it fits a bit...
I didn't find any need for spacers, maybe for trucks with a lift or more rake. But on the stock Tremor no need. There is a gap between the housing and the pods allowing for a degree of up and down movement. I found alignment to be fairly simple. Tighten the screws just tight enough that the...
Not exactly the language used. The word “could” does not mean “not allowed”.
Buy seat covers from a reputable company with airbag safe seams. I have no fear that Carhartt Precision Fit seat covers will be any different then the looser fitting Carhartt seat covers Ford sells, both are from...
Walked out of the store yesterday and decided that that was the end of the little bit of exposed pinch welds.
Also got the Carhartt Precision Fit seat covers installed. Well worth the wait, and the black goes well with the truck. Now the pup can slobber and jump wherever he darn well pleases.
Could be loose tape that fell on something hot. While I was wrapping (pun intended) up my wiring the other day I also finished giving the truck a once over and removing all the loose tape from the factory and replacing with either new tape or zip ties. There were many spots around the vehicle...
Now that the electrical wiring is complete (dear lord I hope so!). Removed all the wiring and in places where I had multiple runs removed redundant zip ties. Ran wiring loom around all the Tesa taped wires and Tesa taped the looms for a nice install and re-zip tied everything back into place...
It’s nice to have options for those that want to keep the OEM plug or don’t want to solder a connector up there.
I just chopped it off and soldered in a Deutsch connector to redo my bed lights with a switch mounted on the side near the tail lamp housing. Nice protected cavity up in there...
I've seen this asked and since its a popular place to get 12vdc power at the rear of the vehicle. Near the rear of the vehicle drivers side is a capped 2 wire plug that is there for the in bed power point.
The female connector that is capped is MotorCraft WPT-1336 and the mating male...
