I went and visited it at the dealer today. Couple more days, and it will be going home with me! Here it is looking lost and alone in the back lot waiting for PDI
So, I decided to pop down to my dealer today and see what was up. Got within 10 minutes and my sales guy calls me and says it arrived!
So, it still needs to PDI, but I was able to take a peek, quick exterior walkaround, verify the vin, etc. I was surprised by the lack of protection, as seen in...
I can't say for certain unfortunately....... Build date for #2 per Ford PTS (buddy is a dealer tech), was 5/3/2022. My deposit was placed 5/6, and 5/11 was when the train car made it to St Louis. It's possible its on there, but I am not positive. My salesman said the train car is scheduled to...
Looks like one of the PCV connections. In fact, I think that's the same connector the UPR Dual Valve catch can connects to filter/collect when under heavy acceleration
Heard from my salesman on Friday. As of Wednesday of last week, the train destined for Colorado was in St. Louis. ETA to drop the truck off in CO (I think he said Aurora) is still destined for the end of the month. Way things are going, late May - Early June I will be signing papers
Last I heard is my alternate that I found last week is still in Michigan. Tempted to pester my salesman in the next day or two to see if he can check for a status. Part of me is wishing that it makes it here in the next 2 weeks. Some of the roads up and around Estes Park opening up for the...
Welp....... I walked into a bout of good luck today
My XLT 301A is still on order, and not slated to arrive in CO until July/August. I FOUND, through some sheer luck, another CO dealer that has a NEAR IDENTICAL truck, only differences are Ebony interior over Medium Stone, and its a 302A truck...
2015 Audi S3 is my current daily driver, and it's getting traded in when my delivery date rolls around later this year. Am I going to miss it? Yes..... But given the circumstances I am facing, and things I want to do in the future, the ranger makes much more practical sense.
All things...
Man, I would love to find this out. An extra $1250 on top of my fresh college Grad rebate would be preem. $2k on top of my X-Plan pricing (thank you corporate telecom overlord I work for, and for anyone in CO with our DSL service, I am deeply sorry) would be amazing
Well, I will say, the Development Hell that I have existed in the last month has been nothing but terrible, so I take this as a reward for surviving that.
Speaking of Development Hell? I firmly believe that out of the 9 layers of Hell, Software is Layer 0.
Ordered first weekend of April, order confirmed the following week. Sitting at work this morning (4/28) and Ford BEAT my expectations by about 2 weeks and surprised me with my VIN!
Currently Scheduled Week of June 20th. We will see if they hold to that. If they do, I anticipate early-mid July...
That's about what I was expecting. Only thing I was able to base that off of was my buddy and his 40K Subaru STI a couple years ago. And it gets worse the closer to Boulder you go
I did just double check on the State Parks thing, and you are right to an extent. They, at the least, are giving us the option to OPT OUT on the State Parks fee, though for people who go to the State Parks all the time, $29 compared to $80 or so for the annual pass is a steal.
I am curious...
My current Audi has them, and truthfully, if my FX4 won't have them on delivery (sounds like the case), I don't think I will miss them. Every vehicle I have driven that has had them has always been hit or miss on how well they work, and that effect compounds with slushy snow coming down.
In...
