Couple days late, so here's the weekend round-up
Saturday: roughly 17 hours in a fully loaded truck with the dog riding shotgun along I-80 from just outside of Sacramento to Laramie Wyoming where I then diverted and made it home in northern CO at just after midnight
Sunday: Grocery run to...
Ordered myself a set of wheels from Rocktrix. Nothing too special, nothing too over the top. Basically, if I bust one, scrape it, etc, I'm not gonna be out a ton of money.
Get the OBDLink EX. Had a friend who worked for OBDSolutions (the OBDLink engineers) for a while, and he even said the EX was developed with assistance from the FORScan developers. For $50, its well worth it
I've heard stories of people using OEM Tremor or ROW OEM Wildtrak leafs in conjunction. Dobinson's would be my pick if I needed something heavier duty than OEM.
Since it sounds like you may have some weight in the bed at times, I don't think shackles would be a good option here since shackles...
You will need to adjust them. Especially if its the halogen lamps, you will notice on darker roads that your light output seems like 100% crap because they are too high.
After my leveling kit, my low beams were about high beam level. Made driving at night terrible until I aligned em
Its quick...
Started loading shit in it so I can drive back to CO on Saturday.... Looks like snow on Donner Summit and wind/cold out across Wyoming
Looked at parts
Dreamed of parts
Put a tank of 91 in it so I can climb Donner Summit Saturday and put me one tank of 91 closer to putting my tune back on it
Poking my nose in a couple days late because I just went through this scenario, and also have dealt with BMS woes in the past, plus have some notes from a friend who is a Ford tech. Full disclosure, I haven't read the entire thread so if I glossed over you having done something already, or...
If they can hit the sub $500 for a catted unit, I will probably jump on it when I get my annual bonus.
Need all the herspers to drive my measly 32s at altitude
Ordered my Turbosmart dual port bpv today from Summit Racing. Since I am in NorCal for another week, it means a trip over the summit to Reno to the Land of Race Car Parts tomorrow for pick-up. Following in my dad's footsteps since his jeep was pretty much built at Summit.
Emptied my catch can...
Tell the state to stick it and install whatever because vehicles essentially have an exemption for 8 years since date of manufacture, and it takes 10 minutes to pull a tune off the truck?
Sorry, I'm from Cali. I hate the state, and I personally think CARB's Exemption Orders are a money grab by...
My buddy is a Ford tech, and he and I have had many a long discussion about the 10R80 and 10R140 over bonfire beers
He and I agree, the factory tuning sucks. But the same can be said about the 5R110 and 6R140 that came in the Super Duties. It was fairly common to drive the line pressure to MAX...
I moved it 50ft so that my parents could get their SUV out of the driveway.
T minus just under 2 weeks until I hit the road and go TF back to Colorado and back to my own life.
The joy and curse of being young and single.......
Sounds like something is binding in the suspension. Did they center your steering wheel, and provide an alignment sheet after the work was done? This sounds like more of an issue with the shop that did the work
It's on the list. Only downside is I don't have much in the way of photos for this, but I can provide where I got my information from in the writeup as well. Believe it or not, it fits a little too well.
Woohoo! Been waiting for this, since the only SPD option is $700 iirc. Their Intercooler and Charge Pipes are high on my list. Need to add this and definitely a re-tune to the list
Not today, but this past weekend.....
Mounted a winch where a winch wasn't supposed to go
Installed my new Alpharex headlights
Installed my new Diode Dynamics fog lights
Relocated my ACC Radar
Installed my new control arms
Yeah. the hole in the bumper cover is a little bit ugly. We're...
On the way are:
Alpharex Luxx Headlights
Diode Dynamics Elite Series Fog Lamps
Freedom Offroad UCAs
Cali Raised LED ACC Relocation Bracket
Waiting for me in California following my roadtrip on Saturday
Badlands Universal Winch Mount
Badlands Apex 12000 winch
Stealing an idea I saw on one of...
Screw watching out for the Moose, I'd be more worried about the Denver drivers.
BUT! You'll be coming through CO at the perfect time, as the world's finest Mexican food, Casa Bonita has started the Grand Re-Opening and you *may* be able to get an invite in........
Don't forget to wave if you...
Missed you last weekend during the move @AzScorpion. Even had the trailer ready to go so you could haul all the new acquisitions home
Don't know where you are on the trip (and reading 38 pages isn't going to happen) but best of luck with the rest of the journey, and watch out for them deer!
