That's unfortunate. My Xterra ran fantastic and still looked great when I finally sold it at 235k miles. This Frontier I have looks and runs great as well at 120k miles.
Now what about your Ranger?
After ordering another $1.5k or so in parts today, I happen to see a thread about problems with the Ranger. A pricey faulty EGR valve was brought up along with some other things making the Ranger sound like it was a lemon.
I suspect and hope these are isolated incidents because I'm the guy who...
Used intercooler from a 2022 has arrived as well as the new radiator and AC condenser. Other parts are still on the way. Nice thing about this used one is it has the MAP sensor attached as well as mounting hardware
Talked with a local body shop yesterday and based on the pictures, they estimate...
I pondered that momentarily as well but the sensor case is broken and it fits the piece still attached to the intercooler. The used intercooler with the attached sensor that is likely OEM is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I'll post what sensor is on that one.
Understood. The thing is the part pictured was on the Ranger so it must have worked. It's just confusing that other sources say it's for a different vehicle and motor. Just want to make sure I get a correct one without paying more than necessary. Isn't a big deal in the big picture but it all...
Rebuilding a salvage title 2020 FX4 with some front driver-side damage. Found the MAP sensor for the intercooler output in the pile-o-parts that were apparently swept up by the tow truck driver after the accident.
Ordering new parts but the number on the sensor, JG9A-9F479-AB, comes up for an...
Radiator support, radiator and AC condenser have been ordered.
Discovered a broken hose connection on the intake manifold so will be replacing the manifold as well. How that was broken is strange since it's nowhere near the damaged area.
The ramp itself is standard width for dirt bikes and smaller motorcycles. I already have one. The 3-panel folding ramp I have is designed for ATV's. The rungs are a little farther apart so not as smooth rolling a motorcycle over it. It's shorter so the angle is a little steeper, but the...
Putting the cart waaay ahead of the horse. Already have a newish set of Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 285/70-17 tires (the top 4 of the stack-o-tires) and don't want to stuff them on the stock 7.5" wide wheels at the 55mm offset. Happen to find these gorgeous Roush wheels reasonable - 8.5" width at...
I definitely get it. I'm only 5'8". Already looking at picking up a set of step rails a local guy pulled off his 5G. Even with the stock tires, I firmly slide on the seat bolster getting in and out. That won't be good for it long-term. And it will be even taller when the big-boy tires go on it...
That looks really good. As long as the engine is ok after I get things sorted, I plan on keeping this truck for a long time so something like that would be a very nice option.
