Thanks for all the knowledgeable replies so far!
Validates my sense that suspension mods will help a lot here, either the Eibach or Ford/Fox setup. I already put Cooper ATS 4S on (+1") and like them a lot more than stock.
On the plus side, I find the truck to be otherwise really predictable...
Well, I wanted an actual truck :p, so I'm happy with compromise. I am willing to give up some onroad / softroad performance for capabilites that only a body on frame, solid rear axle, etc.. can offer.
Excuse the clickbait title, but just got our Ranger and not having driven a truck in a long time, it's been "interesting" to get used to driving a 4WD pickup. For reference we traded in our Flex on the Ranger and our other car is a FWD EV. The Flex has the Haldex AWD system (same as Volvo XC70...
If they aren't negotiating much -- or at least saying "let's see what we can get to", and that would be consistent with situation up here -- then I think it's a pretty good sign that they are legitimately supply constrained. So either try to find a dealer that has trucks to move or wait until...
Wow, they aren't giving you the "employee discount" deal in the states? That's what I paid for a 2020 Lariat in Canada at exchange rate of $1.33 with no discount from dealer except for 3k or so off for "employee pricing". You're right to pass those "deals" up. It's always good to not be in a...
I mean as poster above shared, this is the value of buying an older truck, it's pre-worn like an old pair of jeans. We also looked for a used ranger, none to be had and honestly the finance and cash incentives made the economics better than used even if we do wear it in before selling it.
The way I figure it, we bought a truck to be a truck and if we don't use it like a truck, why have a truck?
But I'm guilty of being anal about it too. My son keeps saying "it's a truck, Dad!!" I tell him it's possible to take care of something and still get it dirty but family will not be...
I just put NuFinsih on my new White Platinum fwiw. Added a definete layer of sheen, but nothing my wife was able to notice, lol. But I did it to add an extra layer of protection and apparently NuFinish works well for that.
I should add that I thought the terrain modes were super gimmicky but the Trail Control is actually kind of cool.
Also we can't figure out how to turn the parking aids off yet -- I'm sure its burried somewhere we just haven't found yet. So annoying to be negotiating a tight section and having...
We just took our brand new truck up into the mountains for the first time. Took a “wrong” turn — actually just wanted to see if I could find something to check out capabilities of truck. We came to a series of bigass dips in the ”road” a good two feet deep and all the way across, there was no...
Not a sunny day here, but perhaps this will highlight difference with Oxford White. It catches light differently but hard to see much difference outside of direct light.
