  1. Silly and/or useful hacks

My wife likes to put the garbage cans on the side of the garage to make an obstacle course and keep things interesting. Then when people miss, (of course I never have) we get to add some more custom pinstriping. Those metal handles can leave a surprisingly strong impression. Luckily this is our...
  2. inside vs over the rail topper

Trying to decide between the Ford Accesories Truxsport standard and low pro bed top. I like the low profile on the higher end one and the material seems signifcantly better. It’s only a couple hinder more. Also less trouble if I want to use racks. But my one concern is using the bed for utility...
  3. Line X Insane Prices?

I love this. Wish more people thought about things this way.
  4. Tire Size Fitment Master Thread

Actually, I realized probably the best thing to do is hold on to them and put them back on if/when I sell the truck. A brand new set of tires is a major selling point!
  5. Tire Size Fitment Master Thread

I think probably a site full of people who already have Rangers with OEM tires that no one really likes and are trying to get rid of is probably not a good place to sell said tires. :lipssealed: Iā€˜m planning to hit Kijiji and craigslist to sell mine. Lots of normal people will be really happy to...
  6. Old Man EMU

Huge help! Will probably have a shop or mechanic friend do it anyway with my ā€œhelpā€, just not enough experience to trust myself not to f something or myself up, lol. I assume you can adjust front height within that range. Rear too, like possible to keep it close to stock? And ride is more...
  7. Pics of 265/70/17 tire

Wow! You wouldn’t think it Would make much difference but it really does. The one on right looks perfect and it makes the stock look almost silly tbh.
  8. Old Man EMU

You sure did. Grew up in Colorado high near alpine so I know the terrain well and it’s quite similar to what we have here. Nice looking truck! Looks like a few inches on front and a bit in back? Still has some rake to it, which prob makes sense to keep for towing. Did your kit does have new...
  9. What is everyone paying for their 5th Gen Ranger?

My wife and I were speculating - coming from states - that it might also be a cultural thing. Deals seem to be a lot more straightforward up here and I think people avoid the confrontation of hard core negotiation; thats a massive generalization of course.
  10. Ranger Gets Ford Performance Parts Leveling Kits with Coil-overs & Fox Shocks

Sounds like 3 hours then which seems reasonable. And yep, I agree way more than worth it to retain warranty coverage on suspension. Even a simple repair / adjustment would make it worth it, even though I’m thinking it might be something my son and I could handle as a project.
  11. Old Man EMU

Reading through this thread I’m still a bit confused... For context, I think I’m looking for a fairly level setup with just a bit more ground clearance so maybe 2ā€ up front and 0-1ā€ in back? My priorities are increasing ground clearance with articulation and improved on road handling. I don’t...
  12. Ranger Gets Ford Performance Parts Leveling Kits with Coil-overs & Fox Shocks

To anyone who had these installed/quoted at dealer... what was the stated labor hours?
  13. BowWow's 2020 Lariat FX4 Build in White

Yep, thatā€˜s basically exactly what i got. Cool. Thanks.
  14. What is everyone paying for their 5th Gen Ranger?

Thanks and yep, I mean with the interest rate deals it’s kind of crazy, at 8 years 1.9% is savings of 6k on top of that. So even if dealer is screwing me Ford is making up for it lol. btw calculated it and at 1.9% my cost of money is only 3.4k over those eight years! (I don’t plan to keep it...
  15. What is everyone paying for their 5th Gen Ranger?

No, I’m not that good a negotiator, lol. Paying 42 and change. That works out to 32.8. Figure I maybe got 1,500k more than I would have on the other side of deal with trade in value. To the other poster re dealer off, I’m just not sure this is a US thing or not. Inventory here seems to be...
  16. Snow/Ice rated all-season tire recommendation

Yep, never gone wrong with Blizzaks. OTOH made the mistake of buying two sets of Conti WinterContacts year before last because they were on sale and had excellent ratings. Super dissapointed by them or spoiled by the Blizzaks. Funny thing is I put General Altimax Arctics on our beater before...
  17. Snow/Ice rated all-season tire recommendation

Wow, maybe I should think about selling mine before I put any wear on them. I'd been thinking people were just dumping them based on postings here. Funny coming from car world never thought I'd see people wanting to trade down but I'd have preferred the 17s too. Not sure I'd be able to sell the...
  18. My White Platinum Lariat Build

Are there any at all? I could only find body mounted online.
  19. BowWow's 2020 Lariat FX4 Build in White

Very cool! Just getting mine now, Lariat FX4 in Platinum White! Had to get it from three hours away too. It looks like you have sport package but straight Lariat wheels? Wish I had the magnetic grill but got the chrome. And if it isn't rude to ask, curious if you were able to get off MSRP on it...
  20. Snow/Ice rated all-season tire recommendation

Trying to make exactly the same decision for exactly the same reasons. For complicated reasons I will probably only keep Ranger for a few years and I just basically gave away my winters on rims on previous car with very little wear on them. At same time I have never not had dedicated winter...
