Would love one of these -- wicked cool. But even if I had $60k+ Canadian that I was willing to blow on a trailer (and I don't) I just can't justify it value wise. Beyond the clverly and well designed shell and popup, you're really just getting a bunch of commodity stuff like Dometic fridge and...
Was considering this... we pulled an Airstream 31' about 15 years ago for a year and a half all over N. Amer. So was thinking of getting a Bambi or even a Basecamp (though I've heard they have reliability issues) -- but ... have you checked out pricing lately?! I don't want a white box camper...
As an aside, I can't tell you how many times someone in town has complimented my truck. Just yesterday a friend from children's school was telling me how she'd been admiring it form afar. This is in a town where every third vehicle seems to be a Taco, esp. when you get up to trailheads, etc...

"Unlike its competitors, the Canopy replaces the tailgate entirely with a full-size rear door and aluminum surround which allows customers to fully seal the cap against the truck bed, eliminating the gaps which occur between the...
Yeah kinda what I'm wondering. I mean there is no question that the Alu-Cab is way more burly, better insulated, has a full back door (rather than using existing tailgate) the tent is clearly better quality, a lot of mounting plates, etc.. but overall I think the basic concept is quite similar...
We are just looking at one of these. It's pretty darn cool alright. On suspension upgrades you listed the Eibachs for $750 .. that seems low. I was told that you'd want to upgrade rear leaf srpings, i.e. with Old Man Emu kit. You found that not to be the case?
re: other posters question, how...
Wondering if anyone has one of these things.
If you don't, where do you think it lands on the "sensible purchase" <--> "WTF did I just spend $15k CAD on" scale.

In particular trying to figure out what you get for that extra $$ compared to an RTT.
wait, 45k for the alu-cab or the truck and alu-cab? JK, assume the latter and that you sold it. Curious what you paid and what you got for it ... and how you liked it. Looking at a used one up here.
Hmmm... maybe I should do some more investigation. Did this person have their own setup? Small town in middle of nowhere so not sure I can find that level of expertise here. But gosh I hate having to do a full respray etc.. even tho I wouldn't be paying for it...
 we paid 43k (before taxes/fees) which was ford's fake "employee" pricing + 0% apr for 7 years. That was for a non-loaded Lariat, FX4 only six months ago. I guess they really must have low supply now.
I think the advantage of skinnier tires is that in deep snow you actually want to get the power down into the snow so that it is pushed around the tires and you plow through the snow rather than under them so you're floating on top of the snow without traction if that makes sense. And since the...
