I did that with two different dealers. They said each Vin has a different transmission part #. Neither could say what's the difference and wouldn't give me the part #

I called the ford dealer gave him my Vin and the Vin of the lqk truck and he stated the transmissions have two different part numbers.

So why are they making a big deal about trans ID? The shop I'm at is worried about ordering it because of lkq saying it won't work.
