  1. Transmission - Lubeguard

Yeah man.. I had a 2006 civic. It's one of the easiest cars, that I've owned, to maintain. Oil filter and drain plug right next to each other up front. Slide the pan and drain both at same time. Transmission had a drain plug. Drain 3 quarts and fill with 3 quarts. The pilot has the zf9 trans...
  2. appendicitis at my age?

On the opposite end. I had shingles in my mid 30s. For weeks I thought it was a pulled chest muscle. At the time I owned a bread route, which was a really physically demanding job with not much sleep...so pulled muscle made sense to me. It finally got so bad I thought I was having another...
  3. Transmission - Lubeguard

Yeah I never understood the hate for it either. I was very much impressed with the location and the oil channel to direct where it drains. Even with the stock fasteners it's super easy. Our 2021 pilot is pretty easy. The big negative is the oil splashing all over the frame when you remove the...
  4. (Article) "Trump says Ford, GM pushing bill to restrict right to repair"

I mean at this point idk if the dealer would be able to work on my 2005 PONTIAC.. they probably wouldn't even know what a Pontiac is. Then add that it's a GTO made in Australia. 😂 "why does the speedometer go up to 200mph.. Is that aftermarket?"
  5. Experience with Livernois Motorsports

    Have you tried calling them?
  6. Rival: 2028 Ram Dakota pickup confirmed for US / North America

Yes.. Tbh.. It would be a slim chance of getting me to buy another vehicle when I don't need one. Like you, I'm excited to see the competition. I used to be gm loyal but that ended a looong time ago when they killed Pontiac and when I worked for Enterprise. I worked in their vehicle repair...
  7. Rival: 2028 Ram Dakota pickup confirmed for US / North America

Yes... I like my Ranger and I keep my vehicles for as long as they are running but Dakota SRT is tempting. Did you see the Ram Rumble Bee?
  8. Experience with Livernois Motorsports

I I did this a few months back. I requested tunes for a new transmission rebuild. They replied back, within that week, that none was needed. So I called to make sure. Answered the phone and explained everything to me. My experience with speed shops are they they don't have many people just...
  9. I'll believe this works when I see it.

It's a circle.. You invest in your business and take care of your employees then there is a higher chance of success. BK could do better but they won't. And I agree.. Chik fil A invests in their people because they want them to succeed. My dad owned a few convenience stores and gas stations...
  10. I'll believe this works when I see it.

I ran a bread route years ago and delivered to a few fast food restaurants. Canes and chik fil a seem to being okay with paying their workers a good wage. Always stacked with help and have no kiosks They also have some of the best employees I've dealt with when ordering food and as my...
  11. Rant: Cooling systems weakest link - Mech Fan

When's the last time you checked the power steering fluid on your 5th gen?
  12. 21 ranger Low fuel pressure and misfire

I did that on my 4th gen Fbody. Lifted the carpet in the hatchback area. Made a nice clean cut and pulled the pump right out. Then I sanded the edges smooth, painted it, glued a piece of sheet metal over the hole, and replaced the carpet. 1hr vs a few hrs dropping the tank.
  13. Belt Tensioner SNAPPED OFF

Use ford oem and say nothing. That's if they even notice.
  14. JXB Driveshaft Center Support

LOL I read that as specifically if it's a 4wd it has to be less then 70 inches. Not as only fits 4wd. Well guess that makes my choice much easier.
  15. JXB Driveshaft Center Support

What do you mean? The Tom Woods is for two and 4 wheel drive Rangers.
  16. JXB Driveshaft Center Support

Hmmmm... I keep going back and forth on getting this or a Tom woods driveshaft.
  17. Hello All + Ranger Advertising Question(s)

Because they dont have to. Tbh I don't see many commercials for the Maverick, colorado or the canyon. I do see f150, ram, silverado and gmc. You advertise the halo and people come to the lot. Then you go from there.
  18. Oil pan issue - broken fin near plug

I wouldn't say it "broke off very easily" More like you used the wrong tool for the job and banged it pretty hard.
  19. Wilwood Disc Brake Install

Bigger brakes do not always equal braking a shorter distance.. Especially at 60mph. Not saying it wouldn't it's just not always the case. Where it will shine is being more consistent, predictable and possibly better feedback through the pedal. The larger and better rotors in theory will...
  20. JXB Driveshaft Center Support

I would put some miles on it before changing anything. The bushing will break in a bit. On my gto I switched to poly motor mounts. At start up there was a noticeable vibration. Driving at 3500rpms i could feel the vibrations. A few weeks of driving and it was all gone. Thinking back.. It was...
