Edit: of course AFTER I make my post I find the instructions on mountune's site. None the less.. If you have any tips or helpful advice, please post up.
I'll be hopefully picking up a mountune intercooler this weekend. I've been on the mountune site to look for install instructions and found...
Nothing I could hear from the inside of the truck while driving. With the hood popped up it does sound a little different but nothing worth noting.
Now my 15yo son's eyes lit up and he got all excited about the sound. I'm not sure what he heard.lol
I hope it works out for you man. I hesitate to recommend mods because it varies so much from person to person.
Tomorrow I'll be doing my normal routine mix of stop/go city and hwy driving. Hoping it's a positive experience.
Got my DV+ in this evening and went right at it. I got it used from a member here and it looked to be in like new condition, so I was really happy about that. It was missing one of the screws but I did have a bag of m6x1x35 socket head cap screws in my garage. The install, as noted in the posts...
Yeap! It also will come with the part that needs to be attached to it. So i just gotta take my stock bov off and put this one on..
Thanks goes to @bmxandfmx for the hook up!
I've seen oil caps with milky residue from condensation but not all dirty like that.
I mean your engine is pretty dirty. Do you take off your cap and lay it on the engine with all that dirt? Was your cap a little loose by chance and dirt was getting in?
Looking under Ranger this is all that is showing. So it seems this is all one piece and does not use stock parts.

It does come with silicone charge pipes and from what I've read that's what mountune supplies.
The seller wants $300 for it. Which is not much cheaper then esp but much cheaper then cvf. Cvf does come with hard piping if you so choose to go with that but it's at $800. Esp seemed to have some...
I've found a local listing for this intercooler for half the price. I want it for the sake of having an "upgrade" and tinkering. Im have 97k of trouble free miles on my Ranger and I don't want that to change.
Does this fit without any modifications? Once the grill is off and stock intercooler...
I used to do it with all my vehicles. Not anymore. Your engine isn't bone dry and the oil moves pretty fast at start up.
If your engine is going to let loose it isn't because you didn't put oil in the filter.
It's not a ranger thing. Oil filters of any make/model tighten a bit over time.
To be "welded to the engine" means two things.
1. You over tightened it.
2. You didn't coat the gasket with enough oil.
Some oil change write ups will say apply a "light coat". I put a good bit of oil on that...
Compared to others the Ranger's location is one of the easiest to get to. As was said in other posts get a 3 prong and use a 3/8 drive ratchet.
I also recommend getting a Trim and molding tool set to get the clips out. It's cheap and comes in handy other things you might work on...
Just picked this up on Monday.
CZ Custom Accu Shadow. Not go keen on the blue but it did come with the stock czc black grips.
Will go great with my AO1-LD and CZ Custom 97B.
Oil changes 10k
Diff fluid/trans fluid/filter and spark plugs I think was done at 60kish.
Just hit 97k yesterday. I bought a fluid pump and I have a Fitz stick, so I'll probably pump some trans fluid out and replace at my upcoming oil change.
