  1. Old Rangers Never Die

Older rangers and Nissan hardbodys never die. My son is getting close to driving age and those are my two choices for a first vehicle.
  2. Metal clattering noise when driving on uneven road

If the tire is snug and not making noises when you shake it then it's good. No need to tighten it more then what it is. You need to get under the truck put eyes and hands on everything from back to front. Don't just grab and shake. You'd be suprised that the noise can be replicated by a little...
  3. Metal clattering noise when driving on uneven road

Do you have a trailer ball hitch installed? Mine wiggles around and makes a clatter sound. Did you check your spare tire?
  4. Smoother Ride?

Consensus is get the bilstein 5100s or 4600 if you aren't going to do a lift. Eibach is aslo another good choice. I ordered a set of eibach stage 2r few days ago.. Way over kill for my pavement princess 2wd. It comes with the springs installed and thatll make the install easier.
  5. Frame Damage after accident

Is 10k the intial estimate? Because if so, that means it's possible there is more damage. A reputable shop will request authorization for time to tear it down a bit to see what's under there.
  6. Eibach Stage 2r on a 2wd

The 4x4 and 2wd part numbers for the stage 2 and 2r are the same. It shows it on the eibach website. At one point it was not listed for the 2wd. Some vendors have not updated their listing. The install will be like any other front shock/spring install, so no worries there. Just gotta get it...
  7. Eibach Stage 2r on a 2wd

I finally decided to go ahead and order shocks for my Ranger. I decided to go with the eibach stage 2 ..because overkill for my needs but whatever. I like the idea of having a complete package. So I message Hotshot Offroad for a price and he says $1000 shipped. He then asks me if I'd be...
  8. Running out of gas issue!

I put almost 19 and it stopped like it always does.
  9. Running out of gas issue!

I have driven mine past the point of zero. It held like 18.6 gallons.
  10. Running out of gas issue!

I'm not Ai.. Post history will show that. My post is playing off the "timing belt" post.
  11. Auto insurance increases

I insurance shop every year. I was with Geico for almost 15 years and the premium went up over a grand. Now 5 years later im back with Geico.
  12. Running out of gas issue!

But I read on the internet that gauges go bad... What if mine is bad? How can I make sure it's really working? I love this truck but all these possible issues that might never happen are really stressing me out! I just checked the air in my tires. All of them were at 35 and one was at 34...
  13. Running out of gas issue!

I've been reading that If you run it out of gas it just stops and won't crank! Has anyone ran into this issue? Any idea on how to prevent this from happening? I'm just already stressed out from running out of washer fluid and I don't want another issue to worry about!
  14. Bilstien 5100 finally installed

I'm at 104k with stock shocks... I need to replace them ASAP but I'm on the fence. Idk if I want to get the bilsteins and swap the springs or fork over the money for a set of eibachs with springs already installed to make the install easier.
  15. 3W Floor Mats Independence Day Sale - Up to 35% off!

Ordered my set yesterday. My ford weather mats have seen better days and I hope these will be a better replacement.
  16. MBRP Aluminized Exhaust Failure...

I installed the same exhaust and I knew what I was getting. I got it off a member here for $125 lnib.. Figured why not. If mine does the same I'll just buy a new muffler. If I were buying new I would have spent more for the stainless steal version. When I took the stock exhaust off, I started...
  17. (How to) Persistent Tow Mode

Auto start stop was one of the reasons for me buying a tuner the first month owning my ranger. I use my ranger to visit my customers and make multiple stops a day... Between 10 to 15 stops. Pushing the button got old very fast. The added power and better transmission manners were an added plus.
  18. Spark Plugs- two last questions

No reason to take anything off other then the coil pack and spark plug. It's not a complicated process at all but do take your time. Don't be rough with the sparkplugs, the tiniest crack in the porcelain can cause issues. Don't bear down on them when installing and make sure the threads are...
  19. Bike Rack or Tailgate Pad?

I love my tailgate pad. I just throw my mtb up into the bed and off I go. When I take the kids to ride it holds all 5 mtb and I still got enough room for our gear. That's just a one day trip though. Keep in mind that the 60lb bike might feel a little heavier after a day of riding. A good bike...
