  1. How do you carry 12' or longer lumber with the 5' bed on the Ranger?

Ya, that's about what I used to do with my civic. Wanted to avoid it with the Ranger, so I opted for the Rac N Cap.
  2. Adding front sensors?

Im sure you could add them, and use Forscan to tell the computer they are there, but might not be cost effective.
  3. Rac N Cap Today

With the rac n cap, you can do that, plus 25 more. ? Also, cheaper to buy a new truck each time you go to the store than the 3/4 plywood right now. ?
  4. Bludrok's Performance Tremor Build

Yes. Stock Tremor wheels with this reflective tape added.

How many 2x4x12's can you normally carry in the ranger? :sunglasses:
  6. How do you carry 12' or longer lumber with the 5' bed on the Ranger?

I did that once with a friend of mine driving. He was about 55 years old at the time, so I thought he'd be mature about it. We were taking some trash cans to a dumpster that was in the community I lived in. There were several speed bumps on the way. He sped up over every one and almost threw me...
  7. How do you carry 12' or longer lumber with the 5' bed on the Ranger?

I used to do something similar in my Honda Civic Si (Yes, Ive hauled 12' lumber/pipes in it). I would put the back seat and front passenger seat down, roll down the passenger window, and have it sticking slightly out of the front. With 10' boards, it would just rest on the dash if pushed as far...
  8. How do you carry 12' or longer lumber with the 5' bed on the Ranger?

Unfortunately, right now it's local only. Well, anyone can come, but you have to bring your truck to his shop in socal for installation. The install isn't exactly DIY friendly. I did chat with him a bit during the install though. He is considering selling to authorized installers, such as 4wd...
  9. How do you carry 12' or longer lumber with the 5' bed on the Ranger?

Forgot to add the cost is pretty much the same as the retrax pro
  10. How do you carry 12' or longer lumber with the 5' bed on the Ranger?

I have trailers as well, but this thing adds the functionality of a tonneau cover (with the addition of being able to stack stuff on top when closed), in addition to a rack, without taking up a foot of bed space like the retrax does. It's also very secure underneath.
  11. Trucks w/o Tow Package?

They make an adapter yes, but it is important to understand the difference in the 2 connectors. The 7 pin connector supports trailer brakes, where the 4 pin does not. If you have a trailer with a 7pin connection, it almost certainly has a trailer brake. However, just having the wiring and the 7...
  12. Trucks w/o Tow Package?

Get a proper hitch, such as what I linked above. Even for light weight stuff. You dont even have to run any additional wiring, unless you need trailer brake support. Then youll need to wire a 7 pin connector and a trailer brake controller.
  13. Trucks w/o Tow Package?

3500 lbs, but please dont. You can get a hitch for less than $200, and they arent difficult to install. Bumper tow isnt nearly as strong, and looks cheap as well.
  14. Rac N Cap Today

The center section folds into the sides, which then close so it is exactly like a standard tonneau cover. The first pic shows it all stowed up. See my video on this post for more info.
  15. How do you carry 12' or longer lumber with the 5' bed on the Ranger?

With a Rac N Cap of course! This thing is simply amazing, and incredibly priced. $1695 + tax which includes installation. Add an additional $300 if you want it powder coated. I would move fast before these catch on and the price is higher. He is located in Chino, California.
