The map chunk is correct for 18Q1. You are missing the voice pack though, at least the English one. Makes me wonder if the last section of the update didn't run.
Looked it up. It's an error that fires when it goes to transfer the new images from the temporary install location to the final location. Can't tell what exactly would cause it though. You can try a Master Reset for grins, not sure if that'll help. Else, you may be stuck with the dealer/customer...
That may have been an earlier piece of the install. The full install, when I tested it, took about 55 minutes. Check your IVSU screen for the 14G422. If it isn't there, but the map itself is correct, you can install the English packages with this:
[SYNCGen3.0_ALL]
Item1 = Nav-Voice Chunk1

Looks like it didn't update. It deleted the voice part (that 14G422 is for voice search, nav itself will still work) but everything else does not appear to have updated. What message do you see when you plug it in? You may have a similar problem as P.A. above.
It likely deleted the 14G422 when you plugged it in to try to update. That's the voice package. It's deleted straight away to make space for the map update. If it's missing, it's not a hard fix, you'll just need to edit the installs script file autoinstall.lst. Check that the 14G421 matches what...
Go into the IVSU Versions diag screen. You'll see the list of packages installed. You can tell from the package names. The 14G422 and 14G421 are the ones to look for. Check those vs the files on the drive, or report here what they are.
Non-Nav uses the same core apps and gracenotes packages, but a different voice pack. The voice pack is for non-nav in all regions (besides Europe) and has more languages. You can use a Nav NA voice pack instead without issue as it has all 3 NA languages.
Hmm. Error doesn't sound familiar. The one I've seen most run into is some BGMAP error that folks have been fixing by using a reformatter utility. How long does it run before it throws the error? Is it before or after it does the initial restart?
Yep, you can get the version from the file name. As kadettje said, you'd need the -CK. The last letter is the revision, the first is the region / type code. So, C is North America Nav. The -CB one never went to actual production (-CE was the first with 19101) so that's probably well over a year...
Not sure. I know a while back they changed something with how the auto-brightness works, but I also want to say there's some regulation somewhere that says how bright it has to be for displays in R. I haven't noticed any excess brightness on either of my personal vehicles though.
