IIRC the times I noticed it were when I'd swap phones. So my wife would drive one day, then I'd jump in the next and it'd hook to my phone instead and the pop the pop-up. Do you use CarPlay? Might be because that disables the Bluetooth connection, or some timing thing. I don't recall seeing this...
Put everything on a thumb drive. If it’s FLAC you wouldn’t want to pump it over Bluetooth anyway as you’re degrading the quality from the get go. If you want the best quality go FLAC on USB and call it a day.
Probably that data services one then. Usually pairing the phone and accepting once gets rid of it. A couple others have also said they keep seeing this one at random too. Not sure why though.
It probably indexed the drive, which means you don't have the files on there correctly. You'll unzip the main file you download to the drive such that you have the autoinstall, the DONTINDX (or however that's named I forget the exact acronym off hand) and then the SyncMyRide folder with a series...
What about if you don't plug in for CarPlay? Might be a glitch like the other pop-up causing it to come up too often. I haven't run v3.3 in a while though to poke around.
Right, no touch. So, I don't think that one has HD Radio since it's a base unit, no CarPlay/AA of course, no Nav AppLink apps, like Waze though the media ones work. You have your AM/FM/SXM/BT/USB, etc. Use voice for any large media database as the non-touch interface can be bit of a bear for...
I believe that's supposed to be shown one time per paired device connection. So, if you have your phone paired, it should show it to you once, then not again unless there's no device connected, or a new device is paired that hasn't accepted yet. Do you have a phone paired?
If it’s the 4” system you’re referring to, then yes. It’s based off SYNC 3. For example, the voice rec implementation is identical for all practical purposes. If you had two side by side the same commands would work in each, etc.
Most likely if you use the same software to rip the others you used for the others, it’ll work. You can see if what you’re using will automatically populate the ID3 info but since it works in the Transit it seems like it is at the basic level at least. And yes, if it works in your Transit it...
Music note button cycles Media sources (USB / Bluetooth Audio). That 4” should be the SYNC 3 Lite system so it operates the same with respect to indexing, browsing and voice recognition as SYNC 3 for USB.
Do you normally use Android Auto or CarPlay? If so, you can disable them when needed (I think there's a settings shortcut on the Home screen when they're active), then it'll re-activate the built-in Nav, etc.
Depends on the software used to rip the media, etc. for how good it is "out of the box". There are several different tools available where you can import your library and automatically look up/populate tag information, etc. from databases. You can check the files to see what's there now with...
If you still have the old -AM file, you can try to see if rolling back helps. I believe it should install as it's not the same version. The other post has a direct link to that package, so you can try that if it's active. There shouldn't be anything in the latest build that makes this...
The Alpine is an aftermarket unit. I think Alpine and Pio have them. On an OEM basis, last I saw it was maybe 10ish nameplates total that had support. Handful of Audis, couple BMWs, etc.
