They have not held up well for me off-road. Liked the look and they did a good job of keeping the rocks under control on the highway and gravel roads, but I’ve lost two of the four to the Rocky Mountains.
Thanks for the heads up! I was being pressured by the Princess to live with the “upgraded” Tremor matts. It was getting difficult for me. With the sale price and free overnight delivery, I even used quick check out and put it on her credit card!
I think you’re spending too much time thinking about a truck you no longer own and never liked, and not enough time enjoying what fits you better. But spare time is obviously something you have a lot of.
An inexperienced driver towing a large camper in city traffic at sea level. More critical factors that are just coming out. That's a different towing experience then trying to climb a mountain pass on a two lane road.
Insulted? Seriously? If you are imagining insults in any of my comments, then...
The fact that you will rarely tow it is critical to a question about towing. Seems like that would be something worth mentioning in your original post.
As to my question…You bring up the Dry Weight and ask how the truck will tow it. Then respond to the answers with “Hopefully, I’ll rarely tow...
Oh, you’re a non-conformist. A rebel. Dance to the beat of a different drummer. I get it.
Taking a stand against the light sensitive losers that weren’t paying attention in Drivers Ed. Imagine the street cred you get from thumbing-your-nose at the man and his silly little LED restrictions.
Our...
"Do I get flashed by oncoming drivers? It happens. But, no more than it does when I had cars with HIDs...If someone doesn't know what to do when faced with brighter lights on oncoming traffic, they need to go back to driver's ed."
"There is glare because the led's are more intense and they are...
In reference to my stock tailgate…The Princess has actually said a few times how easy it is to open and close. And how she likes this tailgate much more than the one on my last truck.
Con: If I were to install the damper the Princess would surely leave me. Or maybe that’s a pro? Hmmmm.
Wow! Never heard of such a thing. Sounds like they knew what they were doing though.
I Googled it, appears to be a thing. Common on F150 and F250's I guess. Security screws available to keep them more secure.

I'm sure I've posted these elsewhere on 5G, but I like the title of the thread. Here are three of my favorite spots from this Summer.
Moab, UT - April (that's the ranger in the trees on the right)
Snowy Mountains, WY - June/July
Collegiate Peaks, CO - September
Mosquito Pass, CO., headed West from Alma to Leadville. Went with a couple buddy's and my old roommates old Mercedes G-Wagon. Amazing road with great veiws! We left all the Toyota's at the bottom.
Update on my RokBloks XL…They fit well and look good. And they perform well on the pavement. However, they do not hold up well off-road. I really didn’t expect them to last very long, but I’ve all ready lost the front passenger and rear driver sides.
Thanks for the reply and I appreciate the details.
What’s really scary, is how fast it went wrong. Where my brake controller is I would of had to be leaning forward with a hand on the lever to effectively activate it. Unfortunately, when it starts to happen your instinct is to grab onto the...
Good luck! Looking forward to the pics and watching the video. We keep trying to video some of our hunts and they never work out. Camera shoots a bunch of nothing and isn’t running when all the action starts!
I grew up on waterfowl and upland birds, and sort of got addicted to Spring turkey...
I’ve had that start to happen. My ass puckers up just watching it. Plus, I pull an Aussie style caravan and the Princess did not appreciate the video!
