Due to several incidents of Operator Error, I wanted/needed to replace the front license place holder on the Ranger. It was something like $35 and took ten minutes to do.
Afterwards, I asked the Princess, āHow does my new license plate holder lookā?
Without missing a beat she simply replies...
I am notorious for pushing the limits on my gas tank and have run out of fuel in some spectacular places! I like to know my limits. How low can you go? What does the display show when you reach zero? How much fuel can the tank actually hold?
Display shows 2 miles to empty, gas pump shut off at...
Nothing I consider particularly dumb, but itās taken me over a few of the high mountain passes in the area. If you find a black/black one on the trail somewhere, let me know!
Iām guessing the fasteners pulled out on the front ones. The backing plates were still there but the flaps were never seen again. The rear one was still attached to the backing plate but it had pulled and popped off the bracket at the bottom.
Itās not really worth me taking a picture, there is only one left attached. Put the XLās on and liked the look, may have helped reduce some of the rocks flying off the Grabbers. But it didnāt take much off-roading to rip them off. I canāt recommend them if you go 4-wheeling much.
NOOOO! Don't center the subject in your pics, unless it's a headshot/portrait sort of thing. Remember the "Rule of Thirds", creates visual interest and trailing lines!
And yes, Cactus Gray for the win!!!
When I bought my first Ranger, a ā99 4x4 SCAB, I really wanted that great looking, awesome Tacoma. But couldnāt afford it. I loved that Ranger and drove the crap out of it for ten years and 190k miles. Then I bought a 2012 Nissan Frontier. Same story, I really wanted the Toyota but didnāt have...
You don't go off-road, others do. Seems like you just answered your own question.
My question is, if you don't go off-raod and you're on a tight budget, why cough up the cash for 4x4? Just a few months of snowy pavement? Hardly worth it. This truck in 2WD with some good snow tires and a little...
The Ranger definitely wins on comfort and aesthetics compared to our version of the Hilux. And the Ranger out performs and is more capable.
I donāt believe our trucks have the same transmission, but those shifting problems are similar to some Rangers around here. Mine has been great so far...
Welcome to the forum, Mike. Your English is better then most of the Americans I deal with on a daily basis. I canāt wait to visit your beautiful country some day.
Help us out, what problems have you read about and where did you read them? With all the negative input youāre getting why are you...
