A local hitch shop (Lampert Hitch) that is well regarded in the region and that I have used a few times in the past strongly recommended this TBC. I went with their advice and installation, $243 total. I don't use cruise control while towing, and my XLT doesn't have ACC...
It's not wrong at all. That's the beauty of it, each person can do whatever they want for whatever reason. I suspect that is the primary consideration for most people. Any benefit to performance, actual or perceived, provides additional rationale for the decision.
I do like the level look...
Thanks for all the replies! Some reasons were expected but a few new things in there that I had not considered. It’s remarkable how versatile a good truck can be and always interesting to see what folks will do to maximize whatever it is they are in to.
Why are you leveling? Is it purely for cosmetic reasons or is there a performance benefit?
While we’re at it, why is there such a pronounced raked to begin with? What is Ford’s reasoning behind it? Tow capacity?
I loved my 2012 Frontier! It did everything I wanted and never failed to get me back home. Lots of little details exceed what I have in the new Ranger. I have heard that some of the newer models were not so great. That new one does look pretty sharp, wish it had more tow capacity.

Put a nice little chip on the passenger side rear door with the latch hardware on my gate. Saw on this site someone recommending "drcolorchip.com" for touch up paint. On their website the appropriate color choice for my truck says "Fighter Jet Gray/Cactus Gray" (color code NE/M7457). "NE" is the...
We pulled our ’09 Coleman E1 pop-up trailer (GVWR: 3500 lbs) from Denver, CO to Buena Vista along US HWY 285. There are a couple of passes along the way, but nothing very long or steep. Pretty easy drive as far as Colorado mountains go. Towing with a ’21 Ranger XLT (Tremor, Tow Package)...
It's an '09 Coleman Evolution 1 (E1). And yes, designed for off-road. It's been great for us but is starting to have some roof/lift system issues and we have a new "hybrid" camper on order. Putting this one up for sale soon.
On holiday weekends we like to camp on our friends property near Buena Vista, CO. We avoid the crowds but have easy access to fishing, off-roading, and Eddy Line Brewery!
