Just got home from test driving a hybrid Maverick and I must admit the driving experience was excellent.
If Ford were to offer a full electric model and dump the Maverick name I could be persuaded...
The Maverick name still conjures up the words "cheap" and "boring" in my psyche...
Just for the hell of it I listed my 2020 Lariat S/Cab 4x2 loaded to the hilt for sale on FB marketplace.
Asking price was 41K, in the first hour I had 8 inquiries...
This despite it being a S/Cab, 4x2 and red, I paid 37K for it out the door in Jan. 2020.
BTW, it's only been driven 410 miles...
Come back after you've had to have the starter replaced because of this stupid system, do you think Ford installed a heavy duty starter to compensate? I think not...
BTW, I am not a stranger to Oahu traffic, my weekday commute used to be from Makakilo to Hawaii Kai

Agreed, S/Cab 4x2's not particularly in demand...see my KBB attachment above concerning it's value.
BTW I paid about 2.2K less than MSRP for it via Ford's X-Plan program.

Indeed, Oahu traffic is horrendous, couple this with imbecilic women drivers of a certain asian background who can barely see over the steering wheel of their BMW or Mercedes SUV/Crossover and you have a recipe for disaster.
